Trey
I replaced the Intel wireless card (WM3945ABG) with a AR5BXB72 out of my old MacBook Pro. However, Snow Leopard will not recognize it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This laptop has a T2300E Core Duo and the latest A10 bios.
Administrators Syonagar Posted June 23, 2012 Administrators Share Posted June 23, 2012 Dear trey, Is the wifi card detected in bios. Check that its turned on. If you have a multiboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) system, check if the wifi works in the other os. Cheers!
Trey
Yep, it's turned on in the bios and works in Windows 7 and Linux. This is 10.6.8. Everything else works great.
Administrators Syonagar Posted June 24, 2012 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2012 Trey, What was the last os x version that you installed in your old macbook pro? Cheers!
Trey
I'm pretty sure it was some version of snow leopard, not sure of the exact version number. I don't remember ever putting Lion on it. It had the bad GeForce graphics. I actually have the same card working in my desktop (tonycrap mid 2010 MacPro) under Lion (and previously Snow Leopard).
