jasonbuechler
-Where you are from/where you live. I'm originally from Fairbanks, AK but moved to Flagstaff, AZ several years ago to get my engineering masters. -How long you have used a hackint0sh (if this is your first time, state that you are new to this). I'm new to this... if you can call blowing probably 24 solid hours "new". -A brief summary of your experiences in hackint0shing (if any). I started trying to get the iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded)/multifail method to work with 10.6 but never successfully got past the DSDT. Got Lion to install pretty much on the first attempt using MyHack 2.0 RC 4.1 (and using "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" at Chameleon). -What triggered your interest in hackint0sh. A friend convinced me it was time to upgrade from my optiplex gx270, so when I was spec'ing out components, I figured it would be valuable to make it hack-compatible. -Your general computer skill level. I'm a certified Apple (and Dell... *roll eyes*) technician and equally at home in OS X's terminal as I am in Windows' registry editor. -List any technical experience you have in various operating systems and programming languages (if any). See above. My degrees are in aerospace/mechanical engineering, not computer-anything, but I have well over 20 years of hobbyist experience. I definitely have tinkerer-level skill programming in Perl and javascript (and html, though that's not programming) and frequently drop into a command line on whatever OS I'm using for power-user type stuff where the GUI is too slow or not applicable. -If you have any talents/skills that you would like to offer to help the community (optional). Eh. Highly doubtful I have anything additional I could offer... yet. Once I'm past a learning curve, though, I like to generate documentation to help others avoid getting mired in crap that I have.
