  1. When I checked it today, it seems that it restarted and finished copying files. Then I rebooted from the hard drive partition where it is installed, and, no surprise, stuck again at a different place. I am going to google it but if you have any idea, please let me know. Thank you.
  2. Yes, but now I am trying a different usb stick in a different port. It is stuck at the following screen. I think I am going to give it a couple of hours today, and check it back tomorrow. Thank you for your help
  3. okay, it has been 5 hours and it is still like that. I am going to kill it and restart
  4. It is usb 2 and usb3 is disabled. I gave up on Sierra and burnt a El Capitan drive. I can get through the installer and everything. But it seems that I am stuck at the final installing phase. It has been an hour now.
  5. It is probably not the keyboard and mouse. Yesterday for two times I was able to click continue and entered disk utility. However, it got stuck when I chose the disk format. So I restarted and I couldn't click on things anymore. Nothing was modified between the tries. I didn't even pull out the usb drive. Today I am stuck at the apple logo with progress bar again and can't even get into the install menu. It is like the machine got its own mood. I should probably give up this project. What do you think?
  6. They are usb. I unplugged and replugged them. And they continue to work the way before. Still can't click continue or press enter
  7. Unfortunately no. The mouse is working but I can't click on anything (nothing is clickable). The arrow keys on the keyboard also works as I can move the highlight bar. But pressing enter has no effect. Another weird thing ....
  8. Thank you. At least one uncertainly is ruled out. The DSDT stuff is way above my head now and I guess I need to read more about it. If I understand correctly, I can worry about it after installing the os, or can I? Now with GraphicsEnabler=No and PCIRootUID=0 I can get into the install menu but I can't click anything (screenshot below). I feel we are really close.....
  9. Here is the origin folder. Thank you for taking a look at it. Yes, I was using PCIRootUID=4 most of the time. Is there a way to find out which UID it is? I tried 0,1,2,3,4. But it might be correlated with other flags... origin.zip
  10. @Herve, I did those 2 things, but still stuck However, I got into the mac install menu once during the weekend, but instead of start installing right away I did something now I regret doing -- I rebooted and thought I could reproduce it. hell no, it is stuck at that progress bar again..... now I am getting superstitious about this lol What I did to get into the installer is to unchecked the generate pstates and Cstates boxes. @Herve, I pressed f4 but nothing happened, could you say more about how to get them saved? Thank you!
  11. @Herve I tried PCIRootUID=4 alone and PCIRootUID=4 with GraphicsEnabler=Yes or No. Still stuck at the progress bar. Here is the picture before the apple logo shows up. Note that the third to last line: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(...) timeout Is that an error?
  12. @Jake, the video card has only HDMI ports. I don't have HDMI cables at hand so I am using DVI cable with a DVI-HDMI adapter. I will get a HDMI cable and see if it works.
  13. To provide more information, when I boot with -v, the texts end as "DSMOS has arrived...IODisplayWrangler+ (1)". Then the apple logo shows up with a stuck progress bar. Is that the normal behavior?
  14. Thank you! Here is the zip of the EFI folder. EFI.zip
  15. I tried nv_disable=1 or GraphicsEnabler=No, but neither worked. I can post my plist file if you don't mind taking a look at it.
  16. oh no, it is still stuck at that place after 2 hours, and the mouse is working. really frustrating...
  17. Yes the mouse is still working. I will leave it and see what will happen after I come back from lunch.
  18. Progress! I did npci=0x3000 and it flies over all the texts. Now I am stuck at the following screen with apple logo and a progress bar. Any thoughts? Thank you
  19. After some research this afternoon, I finally get passed the +'s. Now I am stuck at [ PCI configuration begin ] AMFIL. I did two things: 1. Add NullCPUPowerManagement.kext 2. kernel cpu support
  20. Thank you for the reply. I think you hit the nail on the head. Could you point me to a tutorial on configuring Clover. I googled configure clover broadwell but haven't found much. Thank you!
  21. Hi guys, I am trying to put Sierra on my T7810 but failed. I appreciate your help. This is my PC Dual Intel Xeon Processor E5-2620 v4 64GB (4x16GB) 2400MHz DDR4 RDI MM ECC NVIDIA Quadro M4000 8GB (4 DP) (1 DP to SL-DVI adapter) Motherboard: unknown This is what I did. I created usb using terminal. Then installed clover to usb. The clover boot menu shows up. But when I click "install mac os from...", it shows something like "Using reloc... yes Hibernate... no" and another line of +'s. Then I downloaded the boot packages from this forum and replaced EFI folder. Still got same results but with one more line of +'s. I saw many people have managed to install mac os to their workstations. Could you share with me your experience? Or could let me know which boot package is used? It seems I couldn't find one for Precision Towers. Thank you in advance!
