Hi Hoel! I really haven't very advanced knowledge in this subject, and i don't know which states are activated or not. But when I put a smbios with 9.2, my computer is a little slower than when I put 5.1. With 9.2 I get 7500 points on Geekbench, and I get 10700 with 5.1, and notice the much faster computer. I don't know if I need to set anything more when I put 9,2 smbios. Could you check how many points you give Geekbench with your settings?

I don't have the same cpu as you, i have a i5 3210M. I have a best points Geekbench with MPB 8.3.

To fix the problem about no sound after sleep I use an applescript to reload the AppleHDA kext.

 

Download and edit with your admin password in "mypassword" field. Then export to app format. After wake up run this app and you get the sound working.

I have test you file, first time, appleHDA reload but without sound and the second time, laptop reboot :/

I have test codec-commander, EADP standalone, EADP from Elan but from the last Mavericks 10.9.2, i lost the sound after sleep. It was working fine on 10.9.1

Hi! For me, the files on first post, in file Clover EFI 2636 2.3.14.zip, causes KP in ApplePS2Controller.kext. If I try with kext of 12.28.2013 version, start ok. But with the default config.plist, with smbios Mac Book Pro 9,1, my system run slowly than the config-turboboost.plist with the smbios 5,1.

With used smbios MPB 9, update your SSDT that you can generate by ssdtprgen, read my last post.

If you use latest version of ssdtprgen (10.5+), you have to add "-w 3", or the generated will be stucked at 800Mhz.

If I use the last appleacpiplaform patch, all states  ( no sound with appleHDA )

if I use appleacpiplaform, just the state x8/800 MGz ( sound with appleHDA )

Something wrong for me, only one cpu state at  x8  /  762MHz !!!  normally (x12/ 1.2GHz -- x31/3.1GHz )

You have the appleacpiplatform patched? if you have delete and put the vanilla´s

I'm trying to patch the last AppleHDA 2.6 for ALC270 but without success.

On 10.9.1, my appleHDA 2.5.3 work fine

On 10.9.2, appleHDA 2.5.3 don't work, so let's go patching the last one appleHDA. But something wrong for me

As suggest by the post

1-Patch AppleHDA binary --> ok

2-Patch info.plist in AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext --> ok

• codecID same as 2.5.3 -- ok
• codec verb data same as 2.5.3 --ok
• LayoutID--> 28 --ok

​3- patch layout28.xml.zlib and Platforms.xml.zlib but haven't touch, are the same as 2.5.3 ( check also ) -- ok 

I don't understand where is my mistake, the only thing is maybe than i don't have a Untouched AppleHDA from 10.9.2...

oki find the problem with 10.9.2 ...

If you keep the ACPIplatform.kext vanilla you will get the sound with AppleHDA 2.5.3fc1but lost some states CPU and battery level.

if you install the ACPIplatform.kext patch, you lost the sound...

Work in progress... all help welcome. 

Update to 10.9.2 all work fine, just reinstall the appleHDA.

 ( Install the Kext to S/L/E - Rebuilt cache & repair permission. )

already i've install mavericks update 10.9.2 but no boot,  AppleACPIPlatform error, then i've put all kext from another partition that i have and boot fine, but i don't have audio with applehda.kext i think that need to update to work for 10.9.2. With Voodoohda.kext i have audio.

Have you test with my last Update AppleHDA 2.5.3fc1 ?

Sorry, I don't get your issue with dragging exactly. If you could explain its behavior more then i could try to understand and try to fix. For Me(v3 hw) and other beta testers(v4) did not find any problems, so you need to explain then it would be helpful. 

 

I also tested making del as cmd + backspace shortcut for deleting files an its working fine. 

Not so easy to explain even in french. I try to explain the bugs effects :

- The option tap to release don't work ( enable the option on the trackpad prefpane )

   /--> Drag will be released after a single tap. You can enable this from Trackpad prefpane by enabling option "Drag Lock".

The option Drag Lock don't work correctly ( enable on the trackpad prefpane )

--  work if i want move a windows.

​-- Don't work if i want move a file or select a text.

and little bugs on the double tapping and drag but hard to explain.

Did you also enable "Dragging" and "Clicking" from Trackpad settings? Do you have any custom plist edits?

 

--> Yes, of course i have enable dragging on trackpad setting . I try to change FingLiftDragRelTimeOut ( 0-100-500 ), TapHoldDragPressure ( 0-30-40 ) and TapHoldDragStartTimeOut ( 0 or 1200)

The drop and dragging work but not precise with the release in particular but work fine on v3.3.

What you mean you can't enable the option"Map delete as xxx"? You mean can't find. Its located in the keyboard plist.

The version 3.5 work well on 10.9.1 but there are some " little bug " with option double tapping drag. On version 3.3 all work fine but not with the new one, even if i can change the values on plist, many test i had do.

Another thing, can't enable the option to map Delete as command + backspace shortcut for deleting files.

I've got a kernel panic after installing those kext with kext utility. Now I'm restoring using time machine. What did I do wrong? Every time I use kext utility I have a kernel panic.

I have a lot of bugs with clover 2403, go back to 2352.

- problem sleep/wake, bug mail and safari.

- start sometimes bugs.

I try patch the new appleHDA.kext version 2.5.3  ( 10.9.1 ) but don't work !

The new one seems better.

Update to 10.9.1, no problem just reinstall HDA.kext to S/L/E.

Ok i fix it

AsusAICPUPM enable

Some vendors, like ASUS, restrict the use of MSR register 0xE2 in their power management module to ReadOnly. On Sandy/Ivy Bridge systems the kext AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement will try to write to this register and cause a kernel panic. This patch will eliminate the kext's write operations.

 Et voilà.

Edit : Not sure, one week without bug but again same problem of sleep.
