  1. Found out the problem. Didnt select waiting for root device fixes on edp lol. Oops. I been working on trying to get my radeon x1300 working but so far its been proving to be quite a challenge. I been searching around here and found that people have gotten it working on lion but im having trouble. I was thinking about just getting a different card and i was thinking a geforce 8400gs low profile?
  2. Sorry to double post I got it installed successfully with ethernet but when i go to install edp and build the database it successfully does it but when i go to reboot it hangs at Still waiting for root device I been searching around here to find an answer but cant seem to find one
  3. I actually dont have anything installed on the hard drive Before I used the multifail method but i since then wiped that clean and wanted to use this method instead as its more straight forward with the kexts. Is there any bootflags i can use to try and not make it booth through arch=i386? *EDIT* I managed to get it to the install screen by using arch=x86_64 but its not detecting my hard drive. I made sure it was set to Legacy since theres no true AHCI option in the bios.
  4. Thanks for the quick reply. Do i just do that through myhack?
  5. Hi everyone. I managed to receive a Optiplex 745 and I am trying to install OSX 10.7 on it but am running into problems. I followed the normal procedure for creating a usb install disk with the proper bootpack files for the optiplex 745, but as its loading all the kexts and while loading in verbose mode, it kernel panics. here is a image of the kernel panic. It looks like I need to remove the AppleEFIRuntime and EFINVRAM kexts? maybe specific bootflags need to be used? system specs; Optiplex 745 8gb ddr2 ram 160gb hdd radeon x1300 core 2 duo e6600
  6. Okay i updated to 10.6.8 and changed the file and now i have audio! Yay! I read online that some people have the same problem with the trackpad and when they disable multicore it works fine. Has there been a fix for this?
  7. Hi, I went ahead and ordered a Dell 1490 wireless card off ebay and some more ram. Hopefully they will be here in the next couple of days so I can install them (Probably one of the easiest laptops to work on). In the meantime, I had to reinstall the OS since for some reason when I went to install the D820 bootpacks, it would hang at start up. I went ahead and installed the D620 bootpacks again, and I got sleep and battery working no problem. I still am having trouble getting the trackpad stable, its very inconsistent in terms of response. Also, the audio still is not working. Thanks for bearing with this noob! hackintosh is a whole new thing to me. *EDIT* I was also wondering how can i update to 10.6.6 or higher without breaking anything? PCMIA i will not be using since I bought a new card which I will install when it comes in the mail.
  8. Hello again, I managed to get the ethernet working with that command thanks I selected my bootpack for the EDP and I got the battery icon to popup so thats good. The audio is still not working and either and the trackpad is still acting up.
  9. Okay I tried the myfix method and it asks for a password, but I never set one up. I try to hit enter and it says sorry try again. EDIT fixed that issue, running now, standby and ill post a screenshot Thanks
  10. The installation guide? Ive read through all of that already.
  11. Okay I managed to get OS finally loaded with the D620 1200x800 bootpack. It did crash but when I went to restart it loaded up the User Account Creation just fine and i can load to the desktop. Now I am dealing with sleep crash, no wifi or ethernet, audio or battery, and a dodgy trackpad. I know the wifi wont be a chance due to having the intel 3945 adapter, but I do have a PCMIA wireless card that may work? who knows. Its a Belkin F5D9010. I cant install EDP due to not having any internet connection, so I am kinda stuck right now. Thanks everyone! everyone responds so quick!
  12. Hello everyone, I have a D820 that I am trying to isntall OSX SL 10.6.0 on and I keep running into issues. I have followed the tutorial on the main part of the page, and when I go to install everything goes smooth untill i select my bootpack d820 and when I click Yes to remove the extension that could be problematic ,after i hit "Yes" for the second message out of three, the message comes up saying there was a problem and I need to restart my computer. I tried D620's bootpack and I couldn't even get the select your language screen to appear. I tried using a generic extra folder or whatever its called on a clean install, and It installs successfully, but when I go to restart, it boots up and I see the spinning thing at the bottom, and then the screen goes black and I cant get the display back, but the PC is responsive and I tried GraphicsEnabler=No and it worked for an extra minute but screen went black again. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here as I been messing with this for hours and I keep reinstalling the OS. Surely its something stupid. HW D820 1.83 T2400 core duo 1gb ram 60gb hdd intel integrated graphics
