  1. Just to add up on my problem, I'll describe what I did to get the boot disk: First I tried what I usually do (at least with my Lenovo x220 works ok):Installed the "Sierra installer" to the pendrive using the createinstallmedia tool Using clover mounted the EFI partition from the USB drive Extracted the EFI folder from the FrostyTheSnowman bootpack and copied it to the EFI partition Overwrote the ACPI folder and config.plist with the version attached by Jake Lo to the post (i7-3740QM.zip) and modified the config.plist file to correct the SSDT-aml error. Connected the USB pendrive to the laptop, setup the bios as per the instructions: AHCI enabled, secure boot disabled, Optimus enabled Booted to clover, selected the usb entry and was greeted with a black screen. Then, I opted to follow Jake Lo's procedure and created the USB installer following his guide, but using the bootpack from this post as described above. Did I miss something?
  2. Yes, first I tried with Optimus enabled and after a few boots I disabled it. It never worked.
  3. I have an E6430 / i7-3740QM / NVS-5200M / 1366x768 / 4GB RAM / A12 laptop and I've been trying to install it using the bootpack provided by FrostyTheSnowman in this thread and the customized DSDT for the i7-3740QM that Jake Lo added a few posts back that already sets the GUI to 1366x768 and customizes the ig-platform-id setting to 0x01660003. I boot from my pendrive with the custom EFI folder added and after clover shows up and select the option to boot from the pendrive I only get a black screen. I suppose it is some kind of issue with the nvidia card, but it was supposed to be fixed with the bootpack and SSDT. any idea why even the installer won't show up?
