  1. Looks a bit different for the IGPU but yeah, same principles apply. had to change the multiplier (GT3Floor) under my board-id (Mac-189A3D4F975D5FFC for Macbook Pro 11,1) in the AGPM info.plist to "4". Works great, thank you. Will see if there's a way to do this on the fly. Quick edit: This has increased my battery life considerably, if your iGPU is baseline-ing at above 200mhz, consider editing your AGPM.
  2. A question or two I don't really need answering The base frequency for the hd4400 on the e7440's i7 4660u should be at 200 mhz, but despite my best attempts I can't get it to that point. With the Macbook Air smbios i get it as low as .35 ghz, which is great, but it never reaches its max of 1.15 (instead peaking at .85). With the MBP 11,1 and 11,2 smbios it base lines at .55 and .75 respectfully. They max out at 1.15 when needed. Got myself a generated SSDT and the CPU multiplier/turbo states/whatever work more or less perfectly but I don't really know how to mess with the iGPU. I prefer power but a little bit more efficiency would be nice. Google seems barren when it comes to this specific issue, any place any of you can direct me?
  3. No code changing, just synaptic prefpane and adding the launchdaemon to make sure it loads the settings on boot
  4. The SonVu2 was fine, but "jitters" was just as bad as usual. I'm using the interrupt version, needed a tiny bit of tweaking to get working right (comes with a synaptics prefpane) but it's wonderful.
  5. Jake Lo, give Hurt's latest file a shot, with a little tweaking it's done wonders for me. And, most importantly, no KP
  6. Ahh, got it. Gave Ahmad's a shot, his latest version gave me a KP as well. Thanks for the suggestion, will keep my eye out for more updates.
  7. Thanks for guides/help, Everything is working pretty much flawlessly. I've two questions - Why should we use the macbook air 6,2 smbios? Is there any advantage to using it over MBP 11,1 or 11,2? I seem to get at least one more lower pstate out of the latter two and assume that would help with batter. Also, is there anyway to get one of rehabman's updated voodoops2 kexts working with this? With his newer drivers the "twitchiness" of the mouse is gone but it shows up as a regular mouse and not a track/touchpad. Maybe there's a few settings I could tweak in the info.plist (of either the included drivers or his newer ones)?
  8. punjabigator, the brightness *should* work with "fn+insert" and "fn+F3" but it's a little awkward - thanks for introducing me to Karabiner!
  9. Everything works flawlessly, the only issue left is the finicky battery icon - sometimes it shows me the battery charge/icon, sometimes it doesn't. I'm currently using 1.60.3 of ACPIBatteryManager. Is this behavior to be expected?
  10. Sorry to have bothered you guys, but figured it out. I tried both OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi and OsxAptioFixDrv-64 separately to no avail, so took a photo of the problem (because it's on for a fraction of a second and I can't find it in any of the logs.) It's something along the lines of "panic( cpu 0 caller 0xffffblablabla):"zone_init:kmem_suballoc failed"" Turns out I had to, for whatever reason, physically move my 1 stick of 8gig memory from the DIMMA slot to the DIMMB slot (or other way around, I'll check in a bit). Maybe there's another solution but this one worked for me.
  11. I've tried that - the problem was a cpu panic error that flashes over the top line briefly before resetting
  12. I can't, for the life me, get this to boot past the bit about OsxAptioFixDrv, then using reloc block and all the "+++++"s where I'm hit with a (very quick) cpu panic about 'zone init' something. Is there a Wait=Yes type command so I can get read what it says? none of the logs seem to be taking it in. I've tried most of the boot folders on this thread, tried patching my own DSDT, even downgrading my bios from A16, to 15, and on and on. Sorry and thank you! running 10.11.1 Clover 3320
