  1. Do you have backup of clover EFI folder? If yes, then replace EFI folder with your EFI folder backup but it will replace GRUB EFI. On Windows, you can mount EFI partition with administration access. Let me search guide. Here is link https://hackintosher.com/guides/how-to-mount-and-edit-macos-efi-partition-directly-on-windows/

If not, I think you need another computer with running macOS. Mount your hard drive from SATA-to-USB adapter to reinstall clover to EFI partition from your hard drive but it may replace GRUB.

P.S. For me, I would install other OS on secondary hard drive. It won't affect EFI folder on main hard drive. That's safe way.

Fellow forum member here also have the graphics acceleration issue with eDP.

MacOS might not fully support eDP display I'm afraid, although I couldn't find anything in google

On my E7440, when booted with Ubuntu, my display shows "Display" and not "eDP-1".

    I found some information from tonycrap about framebuffer patch connector-type from DP <00 04 00 00> to LVDS <02 00 00 00>.

This is most challenge hackintosh ive seen since 2017. Hey, thanks for letting me know.

  3. I can't figure why there is error compiler when I am trying to save DSDT file. I am going try boot without DSDT.

Edit: Got macOS booted without graphics acceleration. What will i do now?

Seems to be a common issue with touchscreen model.

Can you try running this app and see what it shows under Connecters. You might have to select 10.13.6 or 10.14 under Framebuffer in the menu bar if it's blank

ckleea is correct. I can boot macOS 10.9. installer without any flag or code to intel disable gfx but I do not try install on it. I just want install Mojave.

However, there is someone who have E7440 with touchscreen. I saw his post on reddit. He got it working. https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/98c0qy/dell_latitude_e7440/

I will check framebuffer out after class.

  5. All right It successfully but no acceleration and macOS reported "Display 7MB" on About Mac. Intel HD 5000 graphics kext are not loaded unlike WhateverGreen kext made it loaded.

I changed Clover config you suggested. I added FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics kext and removed AppleBacklightFixup and WhateverGreen. I kept lilu for AppleALC kext. Did I miss something?

Edit: Which did you saw EFI pack? On debug_32479.zip, E7440_Mojave.zip or E7x40_Mojave.zip?

  6. Interesting... I changed AAPL,ig-platform <FF FF FF FF> on config. It did completed boot without using -igfxvesa flag BUT no acceleration yet. I think I am very close. I got to look deep framebuffer on IORegistryExplorer. I'll update this post later.

I tried 0x0A260005 <0500260A>. Still timeout IGPU issue.
    I tried 0x0A160000 <0000160A>. System got kernel panic'd by AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext.
I tried 0x0a2e0008 <08002E0A>. Still timeout IGPU issue.
I tried 0x0a2e000a <0A002E0A>. Still timeout IGPU issue.
I tried 0x0a26000a <0A00260A>. Still timeout IGPU issue.
I tried 0x04128086 <86801204>. System got completed boot but no graphics acceleration because it is fake ID.

  7. Yes, I do have them.

Edit: I think Intel HD 4400 may needed 2x4GB ram DRR3L because all E7440 hackinotsh users who have 8GB ram total without problem. I've never seen anyone get working hackintosh with single 4GB RAM before. I am using single 4GB DRR3L RAM. @Jake Lo, can you test single 4GB ram on your E7440? Edit: HD 4400 with 4GB RAM DRR3L is not issue because Someone confirmed it is works on his E6440.

  8. I tried boot without DSDT.aml. No luck. Tried upgraded BIOS A25. Same issue.

For now, I am using -igfxvesa mode boot. I am seeing macOS is using Intel HD 5000 kext for HD 4400 like this screenshot, is it normal?

  9. System has rebooted during Apple logo loading. Clover reported the system was panic. I'll try upgrade to BIOS A22. I'll let you know.

I updated BIOS A22 then done set load default. (Changed ACHI. Legacy Option ROMs, UEFI and Secure Boot are same default after Load Defaults.) but the system got still panic. I do not catch fast scroll up on verbose boot.

  10. I did set Load Defaults and turned on AHCI (Legacy Option ROMs and UEFI are already enabled by default after Load Defaults. Secure Boot is already disabled by default after Load Defaults.) but it still don't solved iGFX issue. I am seeing GPU error loop every 60 seconds. Here is verbose

  11. Hi, I got E7440 with HD4400 plus 1080p screen. Currently installed Mojave on SSD.

I am having problem with iGPU. I followed guide to create USB installer with EFI bootpack for high sierra and Mojave but they will not show up installer/desktop after DSMOD has arrived.

I tried igfxvesa command. I got installer GUI but graphics acceleration is disabled. So I installed Mojave on it then booted desktop without graphics acceleration. There is other guy who have EFI bootpack for Mojave version and same E7440 model and hd 4400. It came with FakeID 0x04128086 and ig-platform-id 0x0a260006. No luck with graphics acceleration.

For spec on bios. here are them!

  12. Now, I see why. I am currently using DualLink ribbon cable on 1366x768 SingleLink-screen which it is bad idea for Intel HD 4000 but Nvidia NVS 4200M chip can accept it in Windows 10 and Linux. It make sense. Thanks for tip. I'll do my best to find 1600x900 or 1920x1080 DualLink-screen.

  13. Do you mean video connector cable? Yes, I think I have DualLink for original 1920x1080 screen. It is works with 1366x768 screen in Windows 10 I am currently using.

Sadly, 1920x1080 screen replacement is expensive today. How about 1600x900 for DualLink?

Edit: I'll try look for SingleLink cable for 1366x768 if I cant afford screen replacement.
