So i tried some other things to activate onboard Sound but no luck. I switched to an external USB Soundcard now and this solution is working fine. But i tried to fix some other issues on my lenovo. 1. Enable Battery support (otherwise i have no clue when it is time to charge ) 2. Fully enabled Trackpad (It is working, but no gestures etc.) 3. Backlight buttons are not working I know i need to fix dsdts for that, but i have no clue how to start and the rehabman faqs are a bit too much. Maybe somone has fixed these issues on his Z70-80 already and can help me? Thanks! (Maybe a mod can change title to something like "Z70-80 80FG post install")

No luck either. I will give it more tries tomorrow and post a picture. But the panic comes so fast, no chance to read it. I will check if a video can catch it. In your plist are some graphic changes, gfx0 to igpu. Is this important for the sound device? Because graphics were fully enabled with my old config.

Tested both DSDTs with FixedHeaders but unfortunately no change :/

Thanks! I found several instructions but ... Copied the Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other Also i put this patched DSDT.aml into the Patched Folder. Patched DSDT attached (and screenshot, showing no audio at all) DSDT.aml.zip

Hello everybody, i recently managed to install high Sierra on my Lenovo Z70-80 CPU: I7 5500U GPU Intel HD 5500 / NVIDIA 840M (disabled) But i have no clue how to manage working audio. In Windows 10 the audio device is called "Conexant SmartAudio HD" that's it. I found several Conexant drivers, but they seem to be very specific like CX20XXX but i found nothing about the "SmartAudio HD" device.
