  1. So I suppose no one knows how to help me then
  2. Currently I'm using OCZ Rally 2 16Gb for macOS installation. I was following Jake Lo's Clover Guide for Dell systems, which says to use USB flash drive with 16Gb minimum storage and this is exactly what I have used. I have other 8Gb sticks for testing Linux distributions, but I don't see how the storage of installation media might affect proper drive formatting and I suppose 8Gb will be too low for Mojave to use anyway. It is strange that I have any problems at all since I'm using exact Clover folder as a guy from another 7490 thread. He had success with Mojave install with only touchpad and Intel networking missing. Maybe he might help me figure out what's wrong. Sadly I don't have enough knowledge to understand why two machines with same config can't both have successful Mojave installation. I triple checked BIOS settings and don't have spare SSD other than Micron. I would have likely used some Sasmung EVO instead. Thank you for your time helping me anyway
  3. Okay, so I've replaced "VirtualSMC.kext" with "FakeSMC.kext" in my clover/kexts folder. Same error, same result. Guess I'm stuck with Windows/Linux for now .
  4. Installation fails anyway. I've noticed "failed to open <private" to be latest sentence in installation log. Then I see black screen with text and reboot.
  5. I believe M.2 drive in SATA is supported right? I also tried upgrading BIOS from 1.6 to 1.8, but same error in both cases. Maybe I have some bootflag missing? Back in old days I had successful installation of Mavericks on AMD system. I wasn't able to boot using right kernel until I had npci=0x2000 or npci=3000 added. Could it be flags guys?

  7. Well the only difference I had was Legacy enabled. I followed your instructions anyway. Still facing same error. Previously I was reading forums about this error and one guy said that formatting to HFS or APFS with terminal would help. Not my case obviously. It's not the "fixing permissions" error right? I can't figure out what's wrong. Seems like all drivers and kexts I would need are in place.
  8. Greetings to all members of this great forum. I'm kindly asking for you help and expertice into solving one problem of mine. I am completly unable to install Mojave on my brand new Dell Latitude 7490 laptop (full specs down below). The computer reboots itself everytime I try. I was able to catch the error using slo-mo on my phone since everything was happening so quickly. debug=0x100 doesn't help. For unknown reason the install is unable to convert my drive into APFS. First time I tried to install on GUID partition, then formatted the whole drive (both with Disk Utility and later with terminal). After reboot I see new drive in Clover. I'm able to boot into it and I see that "Mojave can't be installed on this computer". I was using Jake Lo's guide on Mojave install https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-vostro-xps-clover-guide/?do=findComment&comment=87342 , his bootpack and ioncatana's clover folder from this thread https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/11259-dell-latitude-7490-mojave/. CPU: Intel Core i7 8650U SSD: M.2 Micron 2280 SATA GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620 DISPLAY: FullHD
