  1. I have it working now. :) Here is what happened, it was a long day but had to get it fixed some how and thank you so much for your help Jake.

I came across an old EFI which worked for Big Sur with the integrated Web cam that was a breakthrough for me. I copied only the ACPI files from that EFI and updated only the ACPI section in our config.plist. I also updated to the latest OC.

However I don't know what other important patches I am missing from the original Big Sur EFI config.plist that are not in my final EFI.

I've attached the Big Sur config.plist.zip and also my final EFI for your final review please.

  2. Thank you Jake, sorry I've been trying to get the latest config.plist +  SSDT-Disable-DGPU.aml  to boot but it seems to get stuck during boot time.

How can I send you a log so you can see?

Also would be good to test it please with the above EFI perhaps there are things in there that I don't need thats causing the boot to fail.

The addition of SSDT-Disable-DGPU.aml  doesn't cause an issue, its the addition of these 2 keys <string>change EHC1 to EH01</string> and <string>change EHC2 to EH02</string> that's not allowing me to boot. The main thing is the web cam that's all. Thanks again for your support. I am just hoping it could get fixed.

  3. Thank you Jake, much appreciated, it works flawlessly.

I've tried my best to get the apple id working, I did some reading on OpenCore, I tried your seial and also generated new ones with GenSMBIOS and using my ROM which is the ALFA USB AWUS036AC, I used chris111 kexts to enable it and it works.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I put the ROM in all lower case also and removed the :  this is my mac address for that USB 11:c0:ca:22:42:16

I have attached my config to see if you can spot something wrong

I've done it a few times, I can always see the Macbook pro registered as one of my devices on my iPhone however I keep getting this on my Mac and its not signed in yet.

  4. Hi,

    1. I have the latest Monterey working fine on E6540 using OpenCore EFI but unable to get a second internal SSD to be detected once I have logged in. Disk Utility just doesn't recognise the 2nd SSD if its internal, it will detect it only via a SATA usb cable. I just need to use the 2nd internal SSD for additonal storage.
    2. Also please how can I populate / generate the serial number, etc in my config.plist properlly... so I can sign in with my Apple Id? I've tried but it keeps telling me failed to communicate with the server.

I have attached the EFI, it may help others to get E6540 to work. Thanks

    EFI.zip

  5. I don't know if there is a difference but I have attached also here the two reg files, one when booting while HDMI is connected and one when I boot first then connect the HDMI but both with the original SSDT-DDGPU.aml, perhaps you can spot some kind of a difference to fix that issue :).

MacBook Pro While HDMI Connected and Working Perfect.ioreg

MacBook Pro When HDMI gets Disconnected Then Connected - Sound is Distorted.ioreg

  6. I have updated the EFI.zip, removed OsxLowMemFixDrv.efi and disabled FixDarwin7 but contains the original  SSDT-DDGPU.aml.

I made a discovery of the issue and why I thought it was working but then it wasn't in at least one scenario.

When I used the SSDT-DDGPU.aml you sent and booted while the HDMI connected, it was not detecting the Samsung HDMI in the output at all. Also the screen was disappearing for a moment and taking time to load unlike with the original  SSDT-DDGPU.aml.

When I used the SSDT-DDGPU.aml you sent, then logged in and then connect the HDMI cable, Samsung was detected in the output but the sound was distorted.

When I used the original  SSDT-DDGPU.aml which is currently in my EFI attached in this post and I booted with the HDMI connected the sound works perfectly fine. Also as I login while its connected the screen is quite solid and screen on TV comes up as the laptop at the same time. (This is the only perfect working scenario)

When I used the original SSDT-DDGPU.aml but connect the HDMI after I login, the sound is distorted and doesn't work properly. This is the only issue.

  7. I have removed VodooHDA.kext since its conflicting with AppleALC.kext

I have changed the SMBIOS to MBP11,1 so its now MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)

I have unchecked DropOEM and checked AutoMerge instead

I am not sure how I can fix the right address in SSDT-DDGPU.aml

    Now

    The webcam works

The sound in the TV via HDMI while playing youtube is seriously delayed and distorted keeps dropping out still.

    Thank you.

  8. It was because I turned on the Firewall when I turned it off it worked. but now it keeps saying You forgot to press F4 but I pressed F2 & F4 and doesn't generate the files on the Desktop ! hmm, I have 2 SSD Hardrives with 2 EFI and I mounted both but still. Any ideas, I will keep rebooting to try to do it again and again but I already did it twice.

  10. Thank you for the response Jake,

I have uploaded a slightly modified EFI.zip including the preboot.log.zip

I have modified the Config.plist to point to the patched folder directory, I am still having the same problem, I can get sound from internal speakers only but there is no sound at all from the TV even though there are a number of HDM sound output options that come up when I connect the HDMI cable.

Webcam is also not working for some reason but its working on Windows 10,

External 128GBSSD used as USB as well as 2nd internal 128GB SSD drives have always been working fine on 10.15.4 without any issues.

Also I know you mentioned this point before that Clover doesn't look into subfolders within the patched folder but I believe it does, for over a year and half I've been able to alternate at boot time between different config files between E6530 and E6540.

    Thank you for your help

  11. I have E6540 working almost perfectly fine with Mojave 10.14.5 except for couple of things:-

1- HDMI audio not syncing properly with TV ! I never had that issue.

2- Webcam is not working and I need it for meetings and stuff.

I have attached my fully working EFI.zip  also the clover origin dump files E6540_origin.zip and the Darwin Dump files hoping someone could assist DarwinDumper.zip

I am also wondering is it possible now to get the E6540 to work with the AMD Radeon HD 8790M instead of the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 but also get the HDMI working the with TV?

I'd appreciate any assistance please :) @Jake Lo

    Thank you
