  1. No, I didn't. I added it back now for testing. With the DSDT.aml in place, the system doesn't reach the LoginManager anymore. It crashes during boot. It looks like the driver VoodooGPIO fails to get the GPIO controller interrupt and after that the Kernel panics. I attached some pictures, but I didn't get them in better quality because of the scroll speed. It has an "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless AC 8265, REV=0x230", but I learned from that it will not work. CLOVER.tar.gz Both. As a Thunderbolt 3 Dock it works in Linux and Windows without problems. With the new Catalina installation, DisplayPort and USB seem to be working as well I think it's a Realtek R8152 (version 0x6010/RTL_VER_09) USB device: T: Bus=06 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=5000 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 3.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 9 #Cfgs= 2 P: Vendor=17ef ProdID=3069 Rev=31.03 S: Manufacturer=Lenovo S: Product=ThinkPad TBT3 LAN S: SerialNumber=301000002 C: #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=a0 MxPwr=288mA I: If#=0x0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 3 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=ff Prot=00 Driver=r8152 I also noticed in the logs, that when the system is running without the DSDT (only for about 8-10 minutes), these were always the last messages before the system boots again: Oct 21 20:26:40 Benjamins-MBP xpcproxy[553]: libcoreservices: _dirhelper_userdir: 557: bootstrap_look_up returned (ipc/send) invalid destination port Oct 21 20:29:13 Benjamins-MBP com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.xpc.launchd.domain.pid.mdmclient.570): Failed to bootstrap path: path = /usr/libexec/mdmclient, error = 108: Invalid path And I get a lot of these: Oct 23 20:00:32 Benjamins-MacBook-Pro Terminal[298]: assertion failed: 19A602: libxpc.dylib + 86780 [2E9076CD-6C0E-38B6-8403-B2DDCE125FBF]: 0x89 Oct 21 21:17:04 Benjamins-MacBook-Pro systemstats[66]: assertion failed: 19A602: systemstats + 188570 [84B69988-AB33-3F38-AA3B-B31D9FA23C20]: 0x0
  2. Following up from I have successfully installed Catalina on my Latitude 7490. Unfortunately the system resets after roughly 8 minutes of uptime. It is a hard reset, and the system boots again. The issue repeats in an infinite loop. I guess the root cause cannot even be logged to syslog anymore, at least I didn't see a clear indication of a problem there. I attached the system.log. Has anyone experienced this before? Or do you see any issues in the syslog? Only if this can be fixed, three other issues become relevant: * The touchpad is not working * Wifi is not wokring * The NIC of my Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock is not working Output of lspci on Linux: 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers (rev 08) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (rev 07) 00:04.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Skylake Processor Thermal Subsystem (rev 08) 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP USB 3.0 xHCI Controller (rev 21) 00:14.2 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Thermal subsystem (rev 21) 00:15.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #0 (rev 21) 00:15.1 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #1 (rev 21) 00:15.2 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #2 (rev 21) 00:15.3 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #3 (rev 21) 00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP CSME HECI #1 (rev 21) 00:17.0 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 21) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port (rev f1) 00:1c.2 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port (rev f1) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #5 (rev f1) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point LPC Controller/eSPI Controller (rev 21) 00:1f.2 Memory controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PMC (rev 21) 00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio (rev 21) 00:1f.4 SMBus: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP SMBus (rev 21) 00:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (4) I219-LM (rev 21) 01:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. 3. I followed the Catalina section of the guide to prepare a boot medium for my Dell Latitude 7490 (i7-8650U). I also configured the BIOS as per recommendation. Unfortunately I cannot successfully boot into the installer. After some time I get scrambled characters and the stop sign. Any hints of what I can do? Here are screenshots of what I got: And the output of lspci on Linux: 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers (rev 08) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (rev 07) 00:04.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Skylake Processor Thermal Subsystem (rev 08) 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP USB 3.0 xHCI Controller (rev 21) 00:14.2 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Thermal subsystem (rev 21) 00:15.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #0 (rev 21) 00:15.1 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #1 (rev 21) 00:15.2 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #2 (rev 21) 00:15.3 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #3 (rev 21) 00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP CSME HECI #1 (rev 21) 00:17.0 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 21) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port (rev f1) 00:1c.2 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port (rev f1) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #5 (rev f1) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point LPC Controller/eSPI Controller (rev 21) 00:1f.2 Memory controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PMC (rev 21) 00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio (rev 21) 00:1f.4 SMBus: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP SMBus (rev 21) 00:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (4) I219-LM (rev 21) 01:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
