@Jake Lo I also still have no working USB ports. Any ideas on how to resolve that? Tried the Google suggestions, but no go.

I'm so close!! I was able to get everything installed, but I'm having a hard time following the bootloader walkthroughs. What is the best method for booting to the newly installed OSX?

Yessir I formatted the whole disk to Journal Extended, but the drive is still greyed out for me with that same error. The SSD is Toshiba part# KSG60ZMV512G

Huge help, thanks! I was able to get into the Install screen. Now it's saying that my blank HDD has a newer version of MacOS. This is just after I did a complete erasing of the drive in question. The drive in question is a 500GB NVMe.

Yessir it is, but for some reason my external USB mouse/keyboard is not working as well. I was able to get to this screen, but I can't use the keyboard to enter past it either. I can cycle through using Tab, but pressing Enter doesn't do anything.

are you using 1 16gb stick of ram or 2 8gb having both ram slots populated?
Using 2 8gb sticks.

FYI, moving post, this is not a guide
Almost success! Removing DSDT.aml successfully got me to this screen (see below). Now the mouse is stuck in the top left corner. Apologies for creating this in the wrong spot, I'm new to the forum.

Hey everyone, I followed Herve's guide to installing Mojave/Catalina on a Latitude 7490 but am getting kernel panics every time I try the install. I managed to get past the hardware compatibility check, but now I am getting "EFIRuntime" as last loaded kext. I've searched and tried about 10 different solutions posted on forums but keep getting different panics. Any assistance out there?
Latitude 7490
Core i7 vPro 8th gen
16GB ram
EDIT: corrected a typo.

Working on getting High Sierra installed on a 5590, but running into several issues. Tried the configs posted in this thread, but no luck:
Not having a mouse is preventing me from getting past the install, as I can't select the HDD to install by using the tab key.
