  1. Working on getting High Sierra installed on a 5590, but running into several issues. Tried the configs posted in this thread, but no luck:

    • Not working as of now:
      • touchpad
      • touchpad buttons
      • trackpad (not important)
      • USB mouse/keyboard (the mouse is receiving power, as the red LED is on, but no input is being passed through)

Not having a mouse is preventing me from getting past the install, as I can't select the HDD to install by using the tab key.

I'm so close!! I was able to get everything installed, but I'm having a hard time following the bootloader walkthroughs. What is the best method for booting to the newly installed OSX?

are you using 1 16gb stick of ram or 2 8gb having both ram slots populated?

    Using 2 8gb sticks.

Remove the DSDT.aml from /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched and try again

If still fails, boot with boot arg

    -igfxvesa

FYI, moving post, this is not a guide

Almost success! Removing DSDT.aml successfully got me to this screen (see below). Now the mouse is stuck in the top left corner. Apologies for creating this in the wrong spot, I'm new to the forum.

  4. Hey everyone, I followed Herve's guide to installing Mojave/Catalina on a Latitude 7490 but am getting kernel panics every time I try the install. I managed to get past the hardware compatibility check, but now I am getting "EFIRuntime" as last loaded kext. I've searched and tried about 10 different solutions posted on forums but keep getting different panics. Any assistance out there?
