Hi,Hervé. You are right. It is the graphics driver issue. I tried to change id 0x01660003 into 0x12345678, said that can block graphics driver temporarily. Installation process took another step, was stuck at apple logo now. I am a little tired. Can not find more useful information to solve the problem.

I searched and tried to install 10.11.3 in a new partition ,and now no freeze and glitches with slide = 0. I just copied Hervè's DSDT file from his 6220 guide. Backlight control works fine except saving and restoring backlight level across restarts. @HervéCould you give me some advice about restoring backlight? Thanks.

Hello guys, I got a new problem and ask you for a help. Here is the thing. The computer works fine with HDMI except it freezes occasionally.But now I found that it got a blank display when I unplug the HDMI cable, so I replug the HDMI and change the resolution. But however I change the setting, the monitor is still blank when unplugging HDMI. If you guys happen to know the reason, let me know please. Thanks.

Thanks for your advice. I tried to set FingerZ to 15, but nothing changed. I also used the VoodooPS2Controller-R6Bronxteck.kext. The dispaly scrolled still when I just wanted to move the cursor.

I had used your last DSDT for a while, no freeze probably. So I moved on fixing the touchpad's problem. The touchpad moved unsmoothly as I metioned before. And I have noticed "One finger" changed "two fingers" occationally when I used touchpad, because the display scrolled when one finger moved and the secondary click list popped up when tapped. In a simple way, I replaced "voodoops2controller.kext" with "appleps2smarttouchpad.kext".This way solves the "unsmooth" problem. When one finger moves, the cursor follows closely. The touchpad's experience is better then before except no multi-touch. But in this way, some keys' values have changed. The "command" key has changed with "Alt". The brightness control does not work either. I guess it is the smarttouchpad.kext has changed some keys' values. Now I want to know is that if I uses "smarttouch", how can I fix the ‘’brightness” and “command key” problems? Or are there other methods to solve the touchpad's "unsmooth" problem without replacing "voodoops2controller"? Expect you guys’ replies, thanks in advance. CLOVER.zip

I have replaced this DSDT-E6320.aml.zip, and give it a try. I have noticed something error, but do not know if that matters or not. Thing is when I open up All the DSDT files in this topic by MaciASL, press compile button, get three line error messages " 3944, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_IF, expecting PARSEOP_CLOSE_PAREN or ',' 3948, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_CLOSE_PAREN 9196, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_SCOPE, expecting $end and premature End-Of-File " I corrected the code and saved. But got the same errors when I opened up again.

I got the freeze problem again when opened many labels in chrome and videoplayer palying background. The sound was still going on. The cursor could move but display froze.

I want to know how to repatch DSDT. So I copy origin DSDT.aml from EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin/, then open up DSDT.aml directly by MACiASL, compiled 4 errors and added the brightness code as you told above. Saved and replaced the old DSDT. Reboot, but the brightness control does not work, the usb mouse does not work either. Did I miss something important?

Yes, Hervé. I downloaded the MACiasl tool, opened the DSDT.aml file, compiled 3 errors, then did what you told above, and saved the DSDT.aml. Reboot, now the brightness control works well. Thank you very much, and I also found the mute key does not work. When I press mute, display shows up the mute icon but sound does not stop, do you have any idea about this problem? DSDT.zip

Thanks Jake Lo. I have replaced the old DSDT. But the FN + DOWN do not work till now. The backlight does not change totally. Today, I pressed the power button to wake up laptop from sleep, found the keyboard and touchpad did not work, the usb mouse still works. I left the laptop to sleep. Several hours later, the keyboard and touchpad works again when I pressed the power button. Hi guys. I have installed 10.13.6 on DELL E6320, and got help from Jake Lo and Hervé about freeze problem. I got two other issues now, one is when I move one finger on touchpad, the cursor moves unsmoothly. When one finger moves on web page, the whole page scrolls sometimes. The other issue is the display backlight changs down when hit Fn + DOWN, but in 15 seconds turns back. I notice the "sun' icon does not showup also. Can somebody give me some advice?
