  1. Ah ah, my DSDT was hidden, that's why I couldn't find it at first. Thank you very much! You were a big help! There's just one more problem, my DSDT is so screwed up (chuck full of errors) that it causes the system to experience a kernel panic when I place it in the Extra folder.
  2. Umm.... I don't have a DSDT for this particular machine, and I don't know where to get one for it
  3. alright, so I have a very interesting problem. I've gotten everything to work, EXCEPT I cannot change the brightness of the screen. This is a massive waste of battery power because the screen is stuck at max brightness while using Mavericks. Anyone have a solution that will allow me to change the screen brightness? If it helps, here are my system specs: Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P Intel I7-4700MQ Intel HD4600 integrated graphics 2x GT755m 2gb (not yet working for hackintosh) Qualcomm Atheros AR8171/8175 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Elan Touchpad Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 (this obviously won't work, I have to change this really soon)
  4. Sounds good to me! I will share what I learn.
  5. I was wondering if there are any guides for hackintoshing a Lenovo G700 (With Nvidia GPU) From what I see, it doesn't require anything special to get it working, but who knows, maybe it does. I just don't want to spend a week bringing it to 100% functionality like I did with my Dell Latitude D630 system.
  6. Same here except my max clock speed shows up as 2.55 GHZ, I must have a lucky CPU
  7. I booted into windows 8 and found this about the CPU: 2.55 GHZ T9300 Intel Core 2 Duo In OS X, it reads as 2.49 GHZ In Windows 8, it reads as 2.5 GHZ In the BIOS, it reads as 2.55 GHZ I'm sure the BIOS is always correct about hardware.
  8. Yep, that fixed the problem. Must have been a permissions screw up or something.
  9. I just did both of those, let's see what happens. Restarting machine...
  10. Thanks, I deleted all multifail kexts and used these. Wireless works fine The CPU speed still keeps jumping around in "About This Mac"
  11. I am using the multifail kexts for mountain lion, since they work on mavericks. I have a modified Chameleon boot plist which I made myself, no boot flags inserted. Hmm... I look up this CPU I have EDP installed on my D620. For some reason it does not want to work properly on my D630, even though I installed it the same way.
  12. Okay, everything works but there is something weird about how my system shows up in "About This Mac" The processor speed changes every time I turn on the machine. So far it has showed up as 1.2 GHZ, 1.7 GHZ, or 2.5GHZ The processor is actually a 2.55GHZ processor. Is this a problem, or should I ignore this?
  13. Thanks so much! I've used multiple VoodooHDA's but none of them worked. Now this one did! My laptop is now a 100% functional Hackbook
  14. I removed EDP since it was causing my system not to boot up into the OS. I'll try using that voodooHDA.
  15. Okay, I've installed the dev preview of OS X 10.9 on my D630 and everything works. That is, except sound. I've tried multiple sound kexts but nothing seems to work. No audio devices are detected, not even headphones. Any suggestions on how to fix this? This laptop has a Nvidia graphics card if that helps any.
