  1. exceeding the file size limit that's why uploaded to gdrive https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bGWERtz-sqdDjhDaPYxak-5ZooLTHa_n/view?usp=sharing
  2. OK found it and put it into ACPI folder and added it to the config.plist no difference... brightness control keys are not working at all - for the touchpad: I've tried so many different voodoops2 kexts and also alps and appleps2 ones.... yesit works, with gestures but no double tap to drag & drop.... I've also tried a replacement with kexts from my former clover installation where this feature was ok but also without success it's working "OK" with voodoops2 kext (so gestures and swipes) but the accuracy and the click feature it's just sometimes luck to hit the sweet spot... I don't know how to improve the feeling of it. I'm quite sure with some improvements of the voodoops2.kext (in it's plist) I could have at least an accurate touchpad but I don't know which parameters to set
  3. UPDATE: 1. fixed now... does wake up without blackscreen 2. still no drag & drop...tried different kexts 3. still not working another issue I was not aware of 4. BT is working fine for BT headsets but I can't connect a BT mouse (no logitech one and no microsoft) I see them but it's not connecting - removed BRCM patches and firmware from the config.plist as I'm normally just having an Intel AC8265 combo card and no Broadcom. no changes...BT working, so I see devices but not able to connect to a BT mouse, only BT headsets Would be nice if anybody could help here a bit
  4. Hi, finally it works. Still open issues: 1. black screen after wake: Tried several things but without success 2. Double tap to drag does not work... in clover it works. Tried also several different kexts but it does not work even if enabled... I can't double tap to drag... gestures are working fine 3. I'm still missing keyboard shortcuts for e.g. backlight adjustment ... need a patched aml? I only have prebuilt ones but maybe someone has an idea how to simply fix it Would be nice if someone could help fix those last issues. Everything else works like a charm and it's my daily driver now. in the uploaded EFI folder I've deleted the intelligencebluetoothfirmware.kext (15mb) to upload the zip here. EFI.zip
  5. efi folder to big so had to upload it https://easyupload.io/3400df
  6. Hi, I've successfully went through all the clover config and system is running fine including all features and devices (Wifi, BT, trackpad,...). Thx the help of JakeLo So I've tried an Opencore (0.61 DEBUG version) boot stick for testing Big Sur or at least try to switch from clover to oc. USB Stick is booting to the options menu. Once I'm trying to load the install or the existing Catalina with the help of oc I get a kernel panic. How do I troubleshoot from now? - aml files downloaded following the guide (for Kaby Lake Laptops) ...PreBuilt - kexts from repository - drivers only HFS+ and Runtime - plist configured following the guide checked through Sanity Checker with no issues opencore-2020-09-26-185733.txt.zip config.plist.zip
  7. EDIT: OK found a fix without installing a new BT card. Using my Jabra BT headset with the original Dongle... works perfect now with microphone in MS Teams. never thought about using a macOS (even if it's Hackintosh) as daily driver but hell yes, purely for working purpose it's much more efficient than using Windows 10
  8. even if I got the nvram clear "not permitted" error it got reseted after adding a boot ntry with the right pointer to the EFI folder it finally starts without USB... THANKS a lot! Still one question. BT is working (as well as WiFi) with the Intel AC8265 but only sound... microphone especially in MS teams is not working... only cracking sounds... I guess I'll have to use a macOS compatible Broadcom WiFi/BT card, right?
  9. I still have one strange issue that I was not aware of before. I think I've messed something up with the EFI and boot partitions. The OS is booting fine and works great but only started from the USB. What I've done so far: - mounted the EFI partition of the stick and copied the EFI folder to the desktop - unmounted - mounted the macOS partition and deleted the content of the EFI folder and copied the EFI folder of the USB stick to When I now try to start without US I get a blue screen with Spanish language (I guess). So only booting up with USB inserted.... did I miss something? When I enter the one-time boot menu I see 3 entries (macOS, Opencore, UEFI partition of the macOS SSD) all 3 options bring me to the blue screen
  10. every time I change something I use -v ...there are many retries of loading something... have to lookup something like a boot.log(?) OK repairing permissions and rebuild cache I've not tried. Done by terminal? I slightly remember some setting within one of the hackintosh tools or
  11. any suggestion how to speed-up the boot process/reduce boot time?
  12. EDIT: Perfect thanks. injected also itlwm and used Heliport... Finally everything work THX for your help
  13. OK, will try his EFI without the DSDT.aml BT is working after injecting the two files with Clover on the start USB boot stick only Wifi ... I'll search for a guide how to get the Intel AC8265 running
  14. Tried already but I had several issues with his EFI. Still to fix is WIFI and BT... For BT I'll try the kext you've mentioned For Wifi: Is there any guide for the open intel?
  15. Hello everybody, have successfully installed Catalina on a VMware (Player)... everything works well. Update to Big Sur ... everything is running fine, either. I thought to myself "Hey, you still have a Dell 5490... Target system: Dell Latitude 5490 - Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 8265 Wi-Fi + BT 4.2 Wireless Driver - Intel Core i5-8350U processor - 8GB RAM - 14" FHD non touch display Have read and tried out various instructions (I'm a beginner but with IT knowledge). Long speech, short sense: I "stole" several EFI folders from different models (I didn't find 5490 matching) and tried to build something out of them. My issues: - Touchpad does work but no click (also left and right mouse button) does not work... ext. mouse works ...EDIT: FIXED! Just a simple configuration within trackpad options - WLAN does not work at all (Intel AC8265)... any way to get it running? - BT active but does not find devices so broken As I said, I've tried several EFI folders matching the CPU or similar Latitude model. End of the story was a no longer bootable macOS. So I've started all over again and before I write the EFI with issues mentioned above on the SSD I wan to solve them beforehand. W EDIT: Uploaded my EFI as a precaution. EFI_Hitchi.zip
