monterey 12.3 apple music skip songs when playing via airpods
ryuu_nami posted a topic in Apple apps
I've got a latitude 5400 hackintosh and just updated it to monterey 12.3. When I listen to songs using apple music via airpods, apple music just skips all the songs. I've unchecked lossless audio and put dolby atom to off. But nothing helped. If I change output to internal speaker and wired headphones, apple music can play songs normally. In monterey 12.2.1. Everything works fine. Anyone has same problems with me? Any ideas? edit: I can airplay to home pods mini without problems. Both airpods 2 and airpods 3 have problems when palying. edit1: The problem only happen when I change to Internal speakers and back to airpods. It works when I use apple music and use airpods as output directly for the first time. really weired -
[solved] Latitude 5400: LCD brightness, DP and HDMI not working
ryuu_nami replied to ryuu_nami's topic in The Archive
@Jake Lo I finallly get it work now. I followed opencore guide and clear up my acpi folder and delete dsdt.aml and ssdt-xosi.aml. The problem is due to dsdt conflics I think. Now 4k, wifi and trackpad all woking perfectly. I'll upload the efi folder and bios offset file. If anyone one using latitude 5400 and want to use my efi, just take it. bios offset file is used to find bios option offset(latitude 5400). If anyone want to use 4k, just use modGRUBShell.efi to boot and use setup_var command to modify DMVT to 64M ( In my case it's setup_var 0xA10 0x2) Thank you Jake Lo for helping me along way. Best regards! EFI.zip setup IFR.txt.zip -
[solved] Latitude 5400: LCD brightness, DP and HDMI not working
ryuu_nami replied to ryuu_nami's topic in The Archive
@Jake LoYes. several times. I've updated to opencore 0.69 and reset nvram again. It doesn't help. One out of ten times i can get into macOS successfully. I get stuck once with "voodooI2ccontroller" related verbose message. In the other eight times, I saw the apple logo for a blink of a eye and, I think, it went to sleep after a minute.(black screen withe this one minute) The light of the power button went off. After that, I pressed the power button and saw the login screen. I logged in. Sometimes wifi didn't work and all the time trackpad didn't work. I have no clues. I've include two screen shot. one for the stuck during boot up and one for verbose message right before it went to sleep(I guess). I came a long way to get 4k work and I don't want to give up. Please help me. -
[solved] Latitude 5400: LCD brightness, DP and HDMI not working

@Jake Lo Instead of using bootx64.efi i use modGRUBShell.efi to do setup_var work. After I set 0xA10 to 0x2(64M). I finally got 4k outputs. But the solution givea me another nightmire. When I boot windows from opencore. It gives me a BSOD with a"acip_biso_erro stop code". ( Windows boots well if using windows boot manager and before the modificaion to 64M). Also, it completely rendered trackpad gestures unsable. (I can't modify trackpad settings. It says trackpad not found). My wifi works randomly when i start macOS. And somtimes It gives me a black screen before i login and shutdown itself automaticly. And I press the power button again. The screen come back again. It's really wired. I didn't expect this simple command would does so much inconvinience. Any idears? -

@Jake Lo I've tried to comment out framebuffer patch that are related to video memory and It doesn't work either. I am wondering if I should also modify other configurations like cfg lock to make it work. -
[solved] Latitude 5400: LCD brightness, DP and HDMI not working
ryuu_nami replied to ryuu_nami's topic in The Archive
@Jake Lo I've done the bios work and I just can't get into windows and macOS. I attached the screenshot. I've tried setup_var 0xA10 0x3 and setup_var 0xA10 0x2 both of which give me the same result. No access to either windows and macOS. I have to change it back to 0x1 to get back in macOS. I think I've done the right thing. It seems like the bios has some protection mechenism or checksum check or md5 check. It keeps give me error when trying to modify it. Any ideas? Does it mean I've came to a dead end? Thank you! -
[solved] Latitude 5400: LCD brightness, DP and HDMI not working
ryuu_nami replied to ryuu_nami's topic in The Archive
@Jake Lo Do i have to modify my bios in order to do that? I searched for that in google. I found that someone is using set_var to modify bios. But i can't find the exact command to modify latitude 5400 dvmt. Do you know where I can find that command? Somebody said that modifying bios is risky. It can render the laptop unusable. Is that true? -
[solved] Latitude 5400: LCD brightness, DP and HDMI not working
ryuu_nami replied to ryuu_nami's topic in The Archive
@Jake Lo I upgrade my opencore to 0.68 , add a gui to boot screen and cope with cursor jumping problems. I also change my smbios info. So I've done a lot of changes to my config.plist. I did a "diff" on your config.plist and mine and found out that you've change the video memory to 2048 and add a "-cdfon" to the boot argu. I modifed my config.plist accordingly and it doesn't work. ONLY 2k no 4k. I attached my current config.plist file. If you want to make some changes, please modifed this version. So I don't need to redo all the modification I've done. Thank you. config.plist.zip -

@Jake Lo I noticed that you've change my model to macbook pro 15,4. Did you change something else except the model? It does work. But there are flaws. HDMI and DP only work when hot-pluged. It doesn't work when cold-pluged. It seems that HDMI and dp port don't recognized my display properly. I have a philps and a lg diskplay. Both of them are 4k display. But the port recognized my philps display as a 1920X2160 display(lg as 2560X1440). It's really weired. Although I can manaully overide the setting and change to other display mode. But Both of my display can only use 2k(2560X1440). I've attached screenshots to show what i mean. Does it limited by my hardware or i can change some settings to get 4k work. Both my display are working as a 4k monitor under windows. Any ideas? Thank you! -

@Jake Lo I've tried every combination under platform id =0900A53E and device id = A53E0000 according to genral frambuffer guide. None of them worked. I am wondering if i am using the correct platform id? Do you have a working combination for latitude 5400 that is proved to work? Any ideas? -

@Jake Lo I can adjust it manually. But shouldn't it adjust the brightness according to ambient light? I include ioreg in attachment with hdmi cable attached. In hackintool, when i connect hdmi cable the row under connectors doesn't light up. So i just don't know how i can change my config.plist to get it to work. my current config also attached. hdmi and type c DP are not working. Will you also help me with that. liubo’s MacBook Pro.zip config.plist.zip -
@Jake Lo I give it a shot and the result is no good. I seemed to lost all my decode abilities. (screen shot included). Any other sugesstions? it seems that imac19,2 can cover my cpu, but it is not recognized by high sierra. But i just can't use mojave or higher. I need my gtx1060 to work.
-
@Hervé I think I am using correct framebuffer settings.why do I get counterproductive result? Nothing has changed after I change to 19,2 except I lose h264 decoding ability and a boot up delay telling me “could not register frame buffer driver”. As for a new comer, this is how far I can get. I don’t known where I should head for. So what exactly do you mean by correct config? Thank you!

Is it possible to use a headless iGPU in High Sierra? I want to use this machine to edit video. I need iGPU acceleration.

@Jake Lo I get into the system and actually nothing changes. I remove all acip renames. I actually don't need them. I am using my nvdia gup to drive my diskplay and i see from ioreg that i use con2 and type info is correct I think. I am using a Benq display and it has two three inputs one hdmi one dp and one vga. I use hdmi for my mac mini and dp for this dell hackintosh. When i switch from hdmi input to dp, i get a flash of the desktop and then it turns into black screen. i have to reboot my display to see my desktop again. I think it is due to connection type. I patched con type in clover but i doesn't work. (screen shot attached) I use my igup in headless mode. So i changed AAPL,ig-platform-id from 07009B3E to 0300913E, but i got a "could not register with framebuffer driver" message during boot up. It seemed i have broken something. Also I lose h264 decode capibility. I am really frustrated. How can I get out of this mess?
-
@Hervé I've changed my smbios to imac19,2. But boot process shows that high sierra is not compatible with this platform.( screen shot included) I've remove cpupm and cpu01st table drop and generate p states/c states. I am not using any DSDT or SSDT. I don't how to patch. I am still a newbie. Yes I am using nVidia Web driver. I removed the audiodex.efi and no chime now. But I didn't find the wav file. Is the sound generated on the fly? I need to use high sierra, because I am using a gtx1060 graphics card. Anything higher than high sierra won't work. I am stuck here. I can't get back into my system now. What can i do to cope with that? Thank you!

Intel i5-8500 iGPU headless nVidia GTX1060 3GB Nectar 120GB SSD EFI folder attached. High Sierra 10.13.6 Clover bootloader Problem #1: Whenever I boot up the system, I have to switch off the display and power it back up to able to see the login screen or I will get a black screen. I can see the boot up process. But when i get into the login screen, it just gives me black screen. Problem #2: I think I installed a proper driver for my iGPU. But when I open GPU activity window within activity monitor, i get a Intel KBL (I think it's Kabylake) unknown. When I check H.265 hardware decoding abilities in VideoProc, it just gives me nVidia GTX1060. Shouldn't it be Coffee Lake ? I know iGPU acceleration is really important. Sometimes I need this machine to do some video editing work for me. Problem #3 I have my internal speaker and headphone jack working, but I can't get my DP or HDMI audio working. How can i do that? Problem #4: In System Info, my processor is displayed 3GHz unkown. How can i get my process properly displayed? Problem #5: When I load up clover bootloader, I always hear the chime sound of apple computer. How can I disable it? These problems have plagued me for eons. I am new to hackintosh and I've been searching for answers for a long time. I hope someone could help me with that. I will really appreciate your help! Thank you! EFI 2.zip

[Solved] Latitude 5400: headphone jack and internal speaker don't work
ryuu_nami replied to ryuu_nami's topic in The Archive
@Jake LoBoth alcid=11 and 54 don’t work. In both cases I don’t have headphone outputs, not even a static sound. Both have speaker outputs. What else can I do to solve it? As for sd card reader, I don’t have sd card at workplace. I will have a try back home. I thought that devices only work when they are shown in system info just like Microsoft windows. Thanks! -

@Jake Lo Both of my internal speaker is working now but headphone jack outputs no sound. i don't know why. is it also possible to get my sd card reader working? I can't see any devices under card reader and pci devices under system information. i see from hackintool, under pcie section, that i have a rts525a pci express card reader. Thanks a lot. @Jake Lo when i hear the sound coming from the speaker i was so excied that i forgot to check the headphone jack. i pretend it worked but actually outputs no sound. it's my fault. hope you saw my updated reply thank you. -
