  1. I am using an active adaptor I am able to go into the installation using one of the EFI's I created it goes on with the first phase of installation and during the second phase it just reboots continuously, I also tried a HDMI projector and the results are the same no matter what, I'm pretty sure its not the adaptor its been ruled out, something to do with framebuffer patching which I have no idea, maybe something else but thanks for responding

I followed the Dortania guide and did a efi, the installer Is stuck at IOG flags 0x3 (0x51)

UPDATE: This happens in most coffee lake 9th gen refresh processors with intel UHD 630 Graphics you have to do a set the 3rd port as HDMI otherwise it won't work use this guide here https://github.com/perez987/Intel-UHD-Graphics-630-on-macOS

  4. Thanks man I used DPCIManager to dump my DSDT and used that with ssdt time to create the patches now audio works.

for anyone with the same problem this is what I did,

used Aida64 to verify my audio codec set my layout id to 12,

used DPCIManager to dump my dsdt.aml and used that to fixhpet

opened patches_oc.plist in ProperTree copied the add entry under apci add copied it to my config plist created a new child and deleted everything under patches and replaced it with the ones from patches_oc.plist saved and rebooted... now I have audio.

  5. hey Jake,

I did test for audio and I still got nothing, I added codeccommander.kext and still nothing is working I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I also updated the alcid = 12, I'm still with the debug version of open core I don't know if that has got something to do with this, I have attached my current efi folder as well, its been a long time since I made a Hackintosh and I'm not really familiar with these things, kindly help me outEFI.zip it said that the audio is c216 intel 7 series, and this is a core i7 intel only model

    EFI.zip

I checked again with DPCI manager and it says that my audio device is 0x80861E20 with subdevice 0x10280535 I don't know if it helps
