I had the same issue. Check your drive to see what partitions exist on your drive with GParted. 

I have a M2 SSD and Sata SSD in my E7440, the Dell recovery partition was the cause

No luck with layout #3.

I replaced the VoodooPS2 kext with a VoodooPs2 R6B10fixed kext which fixed the touchpad issue.

Jake Lo, in the lower right of the diagnostics screen above the exit button is an option to perform a quick audio test. I almost missed it myself.

Also ran a live version of Linux Mint to test the speakers.

no luck with CodecCommander in /L/E

I reinstalled Sierra, upgraded to High Sierra no apfs conversion using MBP 8,2.

Usb is working, Audio is only available through headphones and touchpad does not work.

I have not copied any files to /L/E. Only the AppleALC in kext folder.

Thanks for the feedback. Changing the SMBIOS resulted in a halt (circle with line through it)

Sticking to High Sierra seems the best choice for this laptop.

I have successfully installed a Sierra, upgrade to High Sierra to Mojave 10.14.3 with a few issues.

1- Sound works through the Headphone Jack, no sound through speakers. I performed the Dell Diagnostics to verify hardware is working.

2- Keyboard and mouse not working on Clover boot screen. I am able to bypass with a defined partition and countdown, but it would be nice to have 

3- USB Ports not working

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Jake, i completed the upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave and had a few questions. Do I need to remove the kexts that were copied to /L/E in High Sierra? Sound is not working, no device found. I tried updating AppleALC and disabling the AppleHDA kexts to patch in Clover. Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks for the help Jake, I was able to pinpoint the issue. I had to boot os with injected kexts.

FYI - I adjusted the Inject Kexts to yes using Clover Configurator in the System Parameters setting

followed instructions, cleared cache, copied files.

executed commands, now receiving expected messages.

reboot, still no luck

no.

each command completed successful. no errors. the only prompt was for the sudo password

No change.

I have VoodooPS2ControllerR6 in /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other.

No other PS2 kext

When Enabled Video works but keyboard, trackpad and sound buttons don't.

Hi Jake, I complete the upgrade and encountered similar issues. I used your attached zip to resolve some issues

1. When I boot I get a scrambled screen at the Logo and at the login screen. The screen is ok if I go into sleep and then wake.
2. Keyboard, Touchpad, and sound buttons are not working

Bios is updated to A21, Legacy Boot Option is disabled.

Latitude E7440 Core I5-4300U 1.9Ghz

Thank you. That hurdle crossed. Next up Disk Utility does not see the internal SSD drives. Bios is set to AHCI one msata SSD and one SATA SSD.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

***Update: Had to use Terminal to format new drives before they were available to DiskUtility.

I do not have HFSPlus.efi 

Replaced files and performed the Configurator change. The option to install is no longer available in the Clover bootloader menu.

Need  some help installing High Sierra on a Dell E7440.

I tried building a USB installer with Enoch using the instructions for Sierra on my E6220 from here with one change. The BaseSystem files are in a different location.

No luck, I get a kernel panic.

I also tried building using Clover using the command line to create the usb with these instructions. I applied the FixHeaders config from these instructions.

No luck, I get a kernel panic.

Is there a way to capture a log of the panic? they both scroll by fast.
