  1. I re-ran EDP using the suggested kext and that seems to have sorted the issue. I've lost my wifi again but i will get it back. There seems to be lots of posts on the internet about wifi "no hardware found" issues.
  2. This is a post about running 10.8.5 on a Dell D630 with Intel graphics. I got Mountain Lion installed using the guide on this website and it worked OK once it was running but I had a strange problem I wonder if anyone could assist with. Every time it booted up I could not move the mouse for a good 5-10 mins. Once it allowed me to move the mouse things were OK. Is there an optimal install for this model? At the moment I only have 2 GB of RAM and a HDD. I'm wondering if upgrading the RAM and hard drive to an SSD would solve the issue? I'm just wondering how smooth an experience people have had with the same model of laptop on Mountain Lion. Thanks
  3. Is there anything i can do to check the "Ven-Dev id" i have installed? I think i must be missing something. If i can get the wifi connected and the battery monitor working then i'll be happy. Don't see the point running mountain lion on this system. Edit: Not sure whats changed (if anything) but got my laptop back home and it connected to my wifi just fine. Happy days!!
  4. Hi, I recently bought an Atheros AR5B91 PCI-E wifi card. I have installed it in my D630 on OSX Lion 10.7.5 and the wifi adapter sees wireless networks but when i try to connect i just get a connection timeout. Is there a setting i have missed out on my EDP install as reading the supported list of wifi cards i thought this was good to go out of the box? Thanks
  5. Sorry was too quick off the mark. Got it going now! Thanks
  6. I've managed to get it to boot into the usb using the 10.7 installer but i'm getting a kernel panic. How can i identify the kext causing the issue? It mentions AppleEFIRuntime and AppleEFINVRam?
  7. I've created a myhack USB stick for my D630 following the guide on this website. I used the 1280x800 bootpack and the creation seemed to go ok. I've now plugged the USB into the laptop and tried to boot off of it and all i get is a black screen with a white blinking cursor? Has anyone any ideas what might be wrong? I created the USB from a VM using a 10.6.3 retail disc.
