Also one more question is there a good shutdown/restart kext for the maverick dell m4400 cause it finicky when it comes to restarting or shutting down? Also would be nice if someone could make a patched pcmica kext just weird that the express 54 card slot works fine on Maverick just wised someone could make a pcmica kext Anyone?

ok great really do not wanna mess with it anymore, gotta say running extremely well espically as my mobile studio, I also have a deaktop hackintosh, I like the fact I can use this where ever I am and just port over to desktop. I had recently purchased a seagate hybrid, do not know if I wanna clone what I just did amd use the seagate hybrid, I really did not see huge speed increases in the seagate, but they claim it learns your patterns. You were very helpful in my success, this was not easy for sure, but this machine is nice running 1900x1200 display is fantastic for working. I really enjoy being here and will continue to be a part of this community, How can I post my lenovo Y570 work arounds so people who may have this laptop can get it running perfectly with my kexts and methods? I am glad I upgraded the cpu to a QX9300 the price I got was great, while ebay and other sources were charging btw 250-500, I got it at supermirco for $155 free shipping, upon just selling my old T9600 dual core 2.8 for $30 on ebay it is like I really spent $125 so no Arguing here! thanks again, and I will not be touching this M4400 no longer, It works period, I am not a cosmetic whore who needs that for relief, as long as it performs like it should, does not bother me in the slightest! Also I just purchased the Dell Wireless Card DW1510 BCM 94322HM8L on Ebay, I heave read people saying it works OTB in ML so hoping I get lucky on Maverick, What do you think?

Well I got the OSX Mavericks working pretty well on the dell m4400 How I did it was a werid combo, I used the Bootpack for the E6400 to get the myhack to just get in & install, Once that was finished I had already down loaded the bootpack (Mavericks) for the M4400 I used kext wizard and installed some kexts, replaced the dsdt in extra folder as well as the smbios boot and other script file, the weird thing is that it boots up great all the time in verbose but do not mind at all, but system info shows me my cpu is only geared at 2.17 ghz and 721ghz on ddr 2 ram???? The graphics are 1700m weirder it shows 1024mb instead of the 512 meg it really has. Also I looked when its loading to OSX Mav, the cpu shows in verbose Qx9300 2.53 which is my installed cpu on this lap. Then I checked extra folder and looked into the scripts and its telling me in the script its a dell 4400 qx9300 1700m, but system info shows other wise. I am wondering if its really running at 2.53ghz and 800mhz ddr 2, Gotta say One tuff challenge to get this as a hack and Mountain Lion was a B, Mavericks was an easier install than ML!!! Crazy. I installed My DAW (Logic X) the M4400 is running better than expected, I am Pleased But wondering about the system info misguide. I also ordered the dell 1510 wireless for 8 bucks, hopeful that it just works OTB with Mav. Also One more thing the express 54 slot works perfect as I got a USB 3.0 and That is a life saver as I do transfers like crazy, so I recommend that you get a USB 3.0 Express 54 card, works wonders. ok been looking for this patched kext and its not coming up i search for it and its just giving me posts please attach it here, from what your saying now is when i get this patched kext put it in the extra folder of the myhack maverick installer i just made and run a full my fix on it? Then I should be good to rock?

I believed I had tried these kexts before and it gives me nvidia160 and I did have sucess using the e6400 bootpack but my 4400 was very sluggish I also had a max rez of 1280x800 when i did that type of install i went further by changing the text files inside of the extra folder because they had the right scripts of my system being a qx9300 because the e6400 gave me a 2.17 ghz cpu speed even though i replaced the text files smbios boot and such I believe it still performs like a 2.17ghz cpu But the rez does go to full at 1080p with smbios boot I think maybe it is a bios setting. I also installed mavericks perfect but it dont load when finished stopping at verbose and saying cpu configured incorrectly. disabled speedstep no luck also checked on virtulazation again no luck just weird, who really has done this m4400 with success?

no luck it installed perfect mavericks but upon powering up m4400 seems like same thing loads like verbose and stops ay system uptime in nano seconds 90406547633 also says missing bluetooth controller transport but this model did not have bluetooth the one i got anyway lso a few more things it tells meno hpets available cpus configured incorrectly hmmm? applesmbuspci start failed to get acpi path for provider...debugger called <panic> backtraces cpu 3 frame kernel extensions in backtrace com.apple.driver.appleintelcpupowermanagement really trying here and will post what u requested soon

Now here is the weird part got osx mavericks downloaded boot pack and did a myhack install it got me right in to install mavericks. Now keyboard & mouse do not function upon installing it so i gotta use a usb mouse, okay fine. I am thinking here when I did the myhack installer for osx 10.8.5 it ask for a mbr and I said yes, as for mavericks that is not supported so i had to say no after making a my hack maverick i also installed the chameleon Now i am thinking if I make the osx 10.8.5 my hack installer and it asks again for the mbr I should say no then install chameleon afterwoods. Crazy that I get into osx mavericks but not osx ML interesting to say I gotta admit

The boot pack states that its the m1700 that is supported on the downloading for packs so that should not be a problem, I would think unless its bogus from the get go. I wonder who has had luck making this m4400 function. If bootpacks for this were uploaded someone out there should know I am guessing. So what your saying Herve is that u want my next move to be is go into my m4400 bios and give u all its details? Thats what i am thinking u r saying from your previous post, maybe I am confused? But is that correct? You want me to give u my bios details for this machine? BTW very good site for supporting hacks and quick responses, very impressed. I also have done a lenovo Y570 perfectly in the past if anyone might need my method, Could not believe it myself that I had that Y570 perfect without a dsdt. Sound, gpu everything worked like a charm, Sold it though but came across this m4400 liked it because of the high rez screen because when you making music and opening plugins it is easier to work with a hgh rez than a clumsy 720p max rez.

i have same specs as the bootpack bios a29 fx1700m also looking at the verbose when it loads seems everything is fine. Yes I did boot from the e6400 extra bootpack with no problems but the computer lacks in performance greatly. I did set to achi mode with no luck also messed with bios and sometimes when I loaded my hack it just looped and went back like i was just powering up machine, so messing with bios seems to do something but working to get this to install, I am very impressed on your contacting me and taking time-out to give me some pointers. I wanted to know though what can this problem be? Is there exact settings in bios I should check? I will take a pic later tonight, it just seems weird that I cannot get this running, and yes crackwalk back in the day did the same exact procedure when it was attempting to install osx but that gave me no problems when crackwalk did it verbose installing method it did exactly same thing but then it went right into osx for install. I donated to crackwalk many times but mr janek seems like he is not supporting crackwalk no longer, Believe me I have no problems paypaling donations to keep supporting our hacks, just want success to feel happy doing so. I love supporting all your hard work frankly you deserve it. If you can or know anyone with this m4400 can you get the instructions on exactly what was done? I had just upgraded this m4400 with the qx9300 about 5 days ago, it was a 2.8 dual core 9600, but that should not be a problem since now cpu thinks its a quad, The only this I can think of is maybe the A29 bios? Should I rollback to an earlier bios?

P.S i also took out one stick of ram and the extra hard drives and the pcmica stuff and still loads in verbose mode and stops and just pauses there and does not go into install screen, I am so close I can feel it BTW the used the dell 6400 extra folder and it loaded right into the installer. I installed it using the 6400 and it booted right into osx BUT resolution was 1280x800 and was very sluggish and show nviida N160 AS THE GPU CARD. That is the only luck I have had here, I wanted to use your bootpack that was made for my 4400 but when I make the usb myhack installer like I said just loads verbose style and stops, just stays there and does not go into installer. thanks for even writing to me as U are prob answering tons of other posts. But if you ever need plugins, wav kits let me know and I will drop box em to ya, since I am heavy into music esp using logic x and just wanted this 4400 to be my mobile it would be killer to have this with a 1920x1200 playing with logic on this lap, just anything I should know like change in bios like hard drive settings I am using what dell set. AHCI is not chosen, so maybe that is my problem and I hope it is! Well not so change it to achi still pauses and dont go into installer weird thing I was playing with bios settings and the usb my hack upon loading it just did a reboot so I am thinking it is something I would have to change in bios but do not know what... Any help please

I did everything you said to do and followed the site instructions to a tee. Now the problem is when I have my usb install disk bootpack also installed from my hack it runs through a verbose mode before it even gets to install screen and then stalls as the last line gives me ric: only single ram bank 128 bytes why wont the installer boot regularly like the boot loaders i made in the past by looking at the verbose mode it seems everything passed so why upon powering up my 4400 it tries to install osx in a verbose mode state rather than a reg install?

if you have the kexts and dsdt and can give it to me that would be great I have the qx9300 quad I just installed the cpu. also would like to get pcmica slots to work also.

does anyone have a simple method for making a usb installer for the m4400 I just want to get my 4400 working so I can use logic please anyone bios settings or please link me to get the right files. I have the 1700m gpu also, Just anybody help me. I just want to get this to work...
