Hello, i want to share my experience that i have learned from this very site, its members(IRC) and by the other hackintosh community. here are my specs what i used on this guide. Motherboard : Gigabyte GA Z77X UP5 TH CPU : Core i7 3770K RAM : 4x4GB 1600mhz g.skill ripjaws x GPU : Zotac GTX 650 TI Boost 2GB
Palit 8400GS 512MB(used it earlier) PSU : Corsair GS700 SSD : 120GB G.Skill(for Win 7) 240GB G.Skill(for OS X) HDD : BlueTooth : Belkin F8T016qe(works Out of Box) WiFi : TL-WDN4800(works Out of Box) Most important step : purchase a copy of OS X ML from App store 1. check out the Guide on this this very site and its Section 1: Step 1 – Create OS X 10.6, 10.7 or 10.8 Installer (make sure SSD is selected as 1st Hard Drive in Bios for the time being) 2. boot your computer with the installer device, and than go to disk utilities and create a new partition on SSD it'll be formatted and mounted automatically. 3. Install OS X in this very partition, at the end of the install it'll ask to to install default /extra or your custom one......i chose the default one and changed it later, after this selection it'll ask you for 3 kexts continuously to remove them or keep them.....i selected no for them(that means to keep them and not to remove them)......sorry i can't define them as i don't know what they do and don't remember their names. (after the finishing of installation the computer restarts , now change the other HDD{in my case it was 500GB} to priority one in Bios, i'm not talking about boot order but the device order or Sata devices) 4. install the Windows 7 on your desired size of partition on this HDD. (computer reboots and set the SSD to order 1 again in BIOS, this way you'll no longer be needed to set the Win7 partition active, chameleon will boot and detects it automatically{i faced this problem in my early days}) problems i had faced on this RIG ::: 1. Sleep was not working solution ::: deleted nullcpupowermanagement.kext from /extra/extensions and copied an other version that aschar gave me.(look for attachments) 2. No Audio solution ::: used a kext from http://www.kexts.com(look for attachments) 3. No Ethernet solution ::: used AppleIntelE1000e.kext (look for attachments) 4. mid 2011 Mac with a ivybridge CPU ? Solution ::: used a custom smbios.plist from someone (can't provide, don't know if the user who gave me allows it or not) Additional Thing ::: i have added 2 preferences tools to get the brightness feature working with default F1 and F2 keys.....helpful for Apple keyboard oweners.
