After fighting with this, I finally figured it out. Once I downloaded everything, I turned off ALL NETWORK CONNECTIONS, and viola, it works.

After reading through everyting on rebranding the Broadcom 43xx (I have a 4311), I tried my hand. I got to the very end every time and I keep getting the failure that "Operation Not Supported". I tried turning off the wifi in BIOS to no success, and I'm trying it through several different distros of Ubuntu, any help would be greatly appreciated!
