UK native, french resident Long time Mac user, first time I've tried my hand at this hackintoshing malarkey. Got into it when I inherited a Dell optiplex 745 for the kid, he's been using my (very) old powerbook. Tried it with Kubuntu, but frankly it needs to be something usable. Windows and Linux don't cut it. I've been round the block a bit, OS and programming wise (25 years experience in commercial systems development on mainly unix systems), know MacOS inside out having developed a few drivers for it. Anyway, decided to register because I've just use myHack on the aforementioned optiplex, had to fix up the DSDT a bit, although I'm still having problems I figured I could at least fed back the DSDT fix.
