hackint0sh experience:
I managed to get Mountain Lion running on a Lenovo T500 about 6 months ago, for the heck of it. I'm still new to the concept though. I had a laptop with no OS, and a recent move left me without backup media and decent internet access. I did have access to some OSX discs and figured I could get it working long before a download for another OS would finish. Which ended up being true, DSL here is awful.
Other experience:
25+ years IT experience, from the i286 cpu era onward mostly. C64 is a blur so I dont count that far back. Current relevant experience is mostly Windows 7 / Server 2008 deployments/support, and a fair amount of Linux based forensic recoveries, repairs, etc.
