  1. Moving to another forum. Seems misplaced here
  2. First off, thank you for this site and tools. I have my 10.8.2 install up and running nicely, but I have a few lingering issues that I think I should engage the DSDT community for help with. This was a vanilla myHack install, with just a couple changes. I have a GTX 260 video card, and I have a BCM5784M network card. The first required me adding a line to NVDANV50Hal.kext to make it load for the video card's PCIID of 10DE:5EA; and second required using the BCM5722D (edited for BCM5784M) ktext from osx86.net. pci@0000:08:00.0 display GT200 [GeForce GTX 260] [10DE] pci@0000:04:00.0 eth0 network NetLink BCM5784M Gigabit Ethernet PCIe [14E4] Problems I'm having: A) BCM5722D is not working well. Under heavy loads I'm experiencing this bug. Perhaps my only solution is a different card. I welcome your thoughts. I don't have any sound. Audio controller seems like a reasonable one: pci@0000:00:1b.0 multimedia 82801JI (ICH10 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086] Little googling and it appears people are having success with a ALC1200 ktext. But loading more ktext's and modifying more of the vanilla install seems like something I can avoid with a proper DSDT. so... C) Modifying NVDANV50Hal.kext doesn't seem to be the right choice. I've taken the time to produce one of those comprehensive bundles for the DSDT work which is enclosed. I'm just not sure even after some googling what to do with it exactly. The bundle contains some 44 dst and aml files but it's not clear to me how they relate or even if I need all of them. Where do I go from here? 0H869M.tar.gz theason.ioreg.txt

Hello. I came upon your installer after trying a few others this week and doing my homework on the people behind those. I really like your installer and I'm hopeful I can get some help with some of the few lingering issues I'm experiencing from the folks here on your forum. -I live south of Nashville, TN USA -I am completely new to this hackint0sh concept. -I read an article on a site about making a hackint0sh one day after getting my MacBookPro Retina a few weeks ago. -I'm a long time Ubuntu user on the desktop, and wanted to make my desktop have the same experience I'm having on my laptop. I'm also a long time user of NetBSD and OpenBSD. -I am a Senior Network Engineer by trade and have been in the trade for 15 years. -My primary exposure has been to Linux/Unix and Windows. Mac OS is totally new to me, although Dad had a Apple II Plus when I was growing up in the 80's.
