Same problem as above, got D630 with Intel (1280x800) no issues with 10.7.0 wifi worked fine, updated combo to 10.7.4 no wifi. Tried MyFix, no luck. Even tried replacing IO80211Family.kext with older versions. No luck so far Any idea? BCM94321MC

Hello! Awesome job with newest EDP Running my Intel d630 with Lion without any major issues so far! But sadly i got some weird sound problem, sometimes I hear loud metalic cracking sound. It's really annoying and ruins listening to music for me. Installed VoodooHDA.pref to mark SSE2 but it did not help. Any other ideas? Any additional info You need? UPDATE! Managed to solve it Need to change MIDI Settings from 192k to something lower. Sorry for bothering ya! (Topic can be deleted or moved ) Cheers!

Cant it freezes when I try. Also when using /System/CoreServices/Network Setup Assistan.app i get past first screen but freezes on second. >.> Weird...

Well kext loads but still can't get it working (don't think it's kext fault tho) every time I open network pref panel and want add new interface it freezes and gotta force quit it. Same if I try to use network assistant :/

Yay got it working, edited Info.plist of Setup Assistant and removed all network screens that was reason of freeze. Booted normally everything works fine, except of ethernet. was using AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext on 10.6 should i use it here as well? No wifi for me so kinda need working ethernet.

Using diff install image so not that. Managed to skip whole setup assistsn by using in single user "touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone " and that got me to login screen but I don't have any users created not even root. So trying to find a way to create acccount via single user or working Snow install. Dscl . -create not working

Installed snow made USB install disk for lion only using Simeonoff guide install didn't want to boot IONetworkingFamily was causing problem. Removed it installed without any problem. And Same same situation as before. Kext works I got keyboard and resolution.but can't get past freaking Setup Assistant. Stuck after keyboard layout selection. I can post screen if needed. Tried deleting IONetworkingFamily on Lion partition but didn't help. Also rebuilded and fixed permission with kext wizard. :/ any other ideas?

Good to know I guess I'll spend few hours installing Snow and then again try play with Lion...

I had Snow Leo partition but not anymore yeah i know my bad. But's too late now

Hey! Thanks for reply! Well myHack asked my to point for Extra folder when it was creating install USB stick, also there is /Extra folder with kexts on Install USB. Also Setup Assistant show up after succesful install when it boots from HDD. Since i dont have atm working OSX install I can only use terminal in USB install mode. Tried coping Lion Extensions to /Extra but it didnt help. Should i try copy it to S/L/E using Terminal? Also dont have installed Chameleon on HDD yet hence booting off USB and poiting at Lion Partition there. PS. Should i boot with arch=i386 flag? Edit: Tried coping kext straight into S/L/E no changes

Hi. Decided to install lion on my d630. Made USB install via myHack and using kext for d630 with intel supplied by one of forum member. everything worked fine except no touch pad and keyboard. Have external mouse and KB so no problem. Installed Lion. Reboot via USB to lion partition and I get stuck on setup assistant. I choose keboard layout click next and nothing happens. Busy wheel keep spinning. Tried also removing Lines in info.plist of setup assistant but that didn't help. Any ideas? ATM my /Extra folder got: AppleACPIPS2Nub AppleBCM5751Ethernet AppleHDADisabler ApplePS2Controller (not sure which but got some minor issues with touchpad) FakeSMC IOATAFamily IOAudioFamily IONetworkingFamily NullCPUPowerManagement OSvKernDSPLib (no clue whats that >.> ) SleepEnabler VoodooBattery VoodooHDA (gotta enable "Use SSE2" to get rid some annoying noises) VoodooMonitor VoodooPowerMini (no clue if i need it ) VoodooTSCSync Could anyone with D630 with x3100 and 1280x800 tell me what kext i should keep and which delete? And What Keyboard and touchpad kext I should use? Same goes for Power managment. I would be in your debt! I'm currently at 10.6.6. Chameleon 2.0.0 RC5 Using DSDT from newes EDP coz after KP deleted only /Extension folder and restored it from back up. Everything outside that is from 1.9 EDP. Also got questions. Cant install Photoshop CS5 (major issue for me) install crashes almost right after start. Also i can't Tether network from my iPhone (not phone issue on Windows works fine) neither from USB and Bluetooth. Cheers Edit: Ah can i update? If so any special way i should do it?

You can give up on this card. Just change it to supported out of box Broadcom or get some USB dongle if you afraid of opening your Dell.

Ok found solution. IOATAFamily.kext was causing problems. Removing it from S/L/E Helped also replaced it with one found in pack prepared for D630. Cant install EDP tho, KP right after reboot, random cause somtimes ACPI sometimes IONetworkingfamily.kext Had to reinstall so im back at 10.6.0 managed to get everything working except sound and touchpad, tried updating to 10.6.6 KP During install, another try without any additional kext cant boot. ACPI and CPU kext causing KP. So atm another reinstall and downloading 10.6.5 update hoping for the best... Any tips? or Guidance? Feeling a bit tired with two day fighting with this...

Hello. Managed to install osx using external usb hdd with image linked in tutorial. After successful install I can't boot - black screen. Even with -v -F and Graphics Mode=1024x768x32 (got x3100 and 1280x800 screen.) i can only boot to safe mode. And with graphics mode command on. I thought success and its gonna be all right I'll just install EDP and I'll be fine. But I can't copy it to my Hdd - No internet and whats worse i cant mount any drive :/ it recognize only USB with install on it And nothing else. Not even CDs. In disk utility you can see drives but partitions are greyed out. Right clicking and mounting not working. Same as repairing it. I'm pulling my hairs out and have no clue how to fix it. Any suggestions ideas? Did I messed something during install? If any additional info needed plz let me know Ps. Forgive my typos my only working Internet connected device is iPhone atm. :/

Umm what guide? I tried to looking here but cant find it I'm blind I guess Planning to install Lion on my D630 with intel graphics, got question, any other way than USB works?
