  1. Thanks Leon - I am using method 2 so assume you mean method 1 ...
  2. Thanks for the reply, I will try this and let you know how I get on!
  3. Hello - I'm very new to this so please excuse stupidity! I am trying to turn my Dell Latitude D430 into a Hackintosh and trying to follow the steps under "Creating a USB pen with OSX installation - Method 2 - Using our premade image". I have downloaded the image file, unzipped it, and have it in the root folder of my C drive. I have also downloaded "DD" (version 0.6beta3), also sitting in the root folder of my C drive. I have used "dd --list" to determine that my USB drive is "HarddiskVolume5" I then run the command as follows: "dd bs=1M if=sld430usb.img of=\\?\Device\HarddiskVolume5\Partion0 --progress" and get the following response: "Error native opening file: 0 The operation completed successfully" I have checked that the filename matches properly. Could anybody advise me what I am doing wrong? Many thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks - the quick reply is much appreciated!
  5. Hello - I am new to this forum and very new to creating a Hackintosh so please go gently with me! I have a Dell Latitude D430. I do not have an 8GB+ pen drive but could use a small external Hard Drive which connects via USB. Would this work? If not I will of course buy the pen drive; I'm not technical enough to know if there is a difference between the two. Many thanks!
