How do we know if we are on a correct smbios file? I have Champlist and thought a different SMBIOS would help. Right now mine is showing MacBookPro 5,5 Is there a way to know or choose a proper one for D830 Nvidia? I didnt want to run the Kext fix again on EDP 1.9.1, can I extract one somewhere? I found the proper one from EDP and extracted it and copied it over my current. I am going to go see OS install mode now. Thanks so much, Mike

Hello, I have my D830 working pretty well on 10.6.8 SL. My audio works but has some distortion at times. I am showing the "Intel High Definition Audio" Built in on computer information. I believe through "KextStat" this is the driver I am using. com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily (1.8.3fc2) <80 5 4 3 1> Thanks for any support Mike

I have my system D830 Nvidia running 10.6.8 and wanted to try to setup a cloned drive to Lion. I am trying the install and I am getting "Mac OS X 10.7 Lion requires a Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeion processor." What would be the easiest way to fix this? What is wierd though is when I go into system info it shows MacBookPro3,1 Core 2 Duo 2.01 Ghz ??? Thanks anyone Mike

Hmm the latest one on nawcom because i couldnt get my 830 to boot into the install dvd. Id be happy with a vanilla kernel. I wasnt aware that EDP was for a vanilla kernel and nawcom probably was using a custom kernel. Wish i knew why my system installs off his boot and not the chameleon here. Now i seem. To have a working system after EDP 1.9.1. My wifi worked before EDP and now its not hmm i am really liking OSX too

Too funny, I think this is the 5th time reloading OSX. I just tried without the updates and tried EDP 1.9.1 for snow leopard. I went with the 630 kexts from what this user has done. I want to keep learning, its just wierd how it works AWESOME up until the reboot. I thought maybe it was Chameleon so I did an update of that through the EDP. I mean after installing with the MODCD I think everything is working.

Ok I have a question. I started with the MODCD and it booted up great and installed my Retail Snow Leopard DVD. Everything was working great. I then applied the update from apple and rebooted. Blammo my system will not boot now. Is this because I did not install EDP? Thanks so much Mike
