  1. No dice. I re-did the USB installer on a brand new usb stick. I updated the bios in my machine to A10 (it was on A4) I re-downloaded the 10.7 bootpack for my graphics chip (intel 945GM aka GMA950) and installed it via myhack I tried the stick with the Edp installed and without. After it boots from the stick I get a blank screen. Nothing happens. I may try snow leopard instead
  2. I've configured the BIOS as specified in the D620 thread. The graphics chip is intel, which I downloaded the correct bootpack for (as well as the correct sizing) I'm going to try an alternate USB stick to see if that does anything. Funny thing is, I put Snow leopard onto a D620 a couple of years ago, and it was nowhere near this troublesome. Will keep you posted as to what happens.
  3. It was a retail copy. Just to be sure, I downloaded "install Mac OS X lion" app from mac store. I re-did the myhack USb installer, which went through without issue. I installed the extra folder using myhack as well. NOW when it gets past the bootloader, I get a perpetual black screen
  4. Hey folks, I am currently trying to install OS X Lion 10.7 on a Dell Latitude D620. I have followed the instructions under the EDP documentation to a T using the myhack method. All goes well with myhack, I have created a proper bootable USB and everything goes smoothly HOWEVER Once OS X Installer boots up and I click "continue" on the language selection screen, All I get is an Error message: Mac OS X 10.7 Cannot be installed on this computer Restore from backup / Restart I have formatted the hard drive to Mac OS journaled, Tried both MBR and GUID options I have tried running the installer in verbose and safe mode. I am out of ideas....anyone?
  5. Hi all, So all in all I decided to just give it another go, Re "burned" the osxlatitude boot image onto an external hard drive using transmac, and installed OSX again, this time using all 500gb of my hard drive, so no more win7 for me. It's better that way in the longrun, and I don't have to deal with run arounds and bootloaders anymore My system is up and running great, My only other question would be: My dell latitude D620 came with a docking station, which has several outputs (mainly some USB ports, a DVI port, and some audio) Just curious as to if it will work (the DVI, USB ports?) Thanks
  6. Thanks muchly for the help, I will give it a shot when I get home from work today. Oddly enough, When I had OSX working (booting without the USB disk), as soon as I installed chameleon, booting from the USB disk stopped working (I'd get a big error message stating that my computer needed to be restarted) Hopefully I'll be able to boot into my OSX partition from the USB disk this time around, if not, I have no idea what I'll do. I'll let you know how it goes, Thanks
  7. Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I've got a Dell D620 that I recently installed OSX 10.6.8 onto. It worked great, bootloader without a USB disk or anything! I followed the instructions on the site to dual boot win7, However, Now that win7 is installed the computer only boots win7 (MBR written over I think?) Tried to fix it in linux (stupidly) and now the computer posts (missing operating system) on both OSX and Windows partitions. Is there a way to boot off the Mac OSX boot-usb and re-install chameleon? Any help is appreciated, Thanks
