However with the workhorse that the E-series is, I would rather not sell it and get a less powerful laptop if I can get sleep working.

Can you point me in the direction of this work? I looked in every subforum and didn't see anything about the e6520/e6420/e5520/e5420. The ONLY problem left with these is sleep.
