What is the equivalent for the apple button on a Windows laptop keyboard? ie start menu button. Sorry if there is a discussion for this already.

Dont worry, I paniced. It was taking more thank 5mins to boot with no disk activity. After 10 abruppted reboots, it finally came up.

I just installed the Telstra Next G 3G modem(seira) and it prompted for a reboot so I did. Now I'm only getting the apple logo during the startup.

Thanks, I may try the update. I have been reluctant as I heard it breaks the Wifi. I had already changed my Intel Wifi to a Broadcom which I ripped elsewhere . Do you have a problem attaching a keyboard and mouse to your laptop? and disconnect to see if the internal keyboard still works?

I am a noobie and install 10.6, EDP, Cameleon and the recommended on this forum on my D420 laptop. All but sleep works well. This is my second install as my first install went through fine, BUT after attaching a Logitech keyboard/mouse, the laptop keyboard and touchpad became defunct(permanently). Because of that, I had to Erase, and reinstall the OS again. Since this fresh install, I have not attached the keyboard/mouse again, afraid to actually. Is there a way around this?

Hi, I'm a noobie and have the exactly problem as the op. Same hardware etc. I have enabled the bios password and the problem still persist. It is like the display goes to sleep and hard disk sleeps, but the system does not. And you cant wake up from it. I also do not have the option in my bios to default the settings. Any ideas?
