  2. Hello, My D820 (10.6.8 with EDP 1.9.2) wont boot up automatically: I have to press enter. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks in advance!
  3. I should point out that my system is set to "on demand performance" in the "Kext is loaded" program at the top of my menu bar. This, likely, skewed the results. I just tried it a few more times and changed the option to use "1.81ghz" I have a score of 112.79, considerably higher than the first one.
  4. can download .dmg files from Internet and install no problem. haven't tried network transfers or other media except USB yet. will update with results when I have a chance.

  6. freedos installed via windows unetbootin and custom bios installed. no issues to report. thanks for the tip. oddly enough the cpu is only reporting 1.81ghz instead of 2ghz. i can live with that though!
  7. wifi is now working, purchased a Dlink DWA-151 N150 pico usb adaptor and installed the realtek 8188CUS driver for 10.6 located here: http://www.premiertek.net/support/RTL-8188CUS/RTL8188CUS_MacOS10.6.zip will try installing freedos on windows. thanks for the tip. will report findings.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I will get a Broadcom card. I ensured the USB was set to MBR and not GUID and also tried different USB keys and tried different ways of installing the freedos image etc, all to no avail.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm having difficulty opening dmg files - i get "image data corrupted" I am transferring the files over from my mac mini via USB key and no matter which file I transfer over I get the same message. I have opened the dmg in diskutil and verified it successfully and it has reported no errors on both mac mini and osxlatitude (mac mini opens them fine) I cannot find anything on the forum regarding this so I'm wodering if it isn't a common issue, how do I resolve it? I'm using a precision m4300 Thanks in advance.
  10. Hello everyone. Before I ask my question I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation for all your impressive and challenging work! I was ecstatic at how easy it was to install OSX Latitude on my 4300. I am wondering what route I have to take to get my wifi (Intel wireless) working. I am thinking that I may have to rebrand it but before I tried that I thought I would try flashing the bios with the 4300 update however, when I boot from my usb key it gives me a "missing operating system" (after installing freedos via unetbootin) Have I overlooked something in order to get my wifi working? Thank you kindly for any assistance.
