  1. @savage24x, When you wake it up, does it work normally?

It would be better if we have a debug report to troubleshoot. See How to generate proper problem reporting files

No, I'll have a regular cursor on the login screen, looks like it'll work normally, then when I go to type anything, it'll completely freeze up. No errors or anything, just spinning cursor of death. After about 20-30 minutes, it'll type whatever I tried typing before, then when I go to login or change the password, spinning cursor of death for hours.

Can't run that debug report because I can't get to terminal :(

Edit: Dropping this project for now unfortunately... Had to rob a drive from a spare laptop for a MacBook Pro I picked up for $30. When I can, I'll get a new drive and post up!

  2. Blew it all away. Built a new clover folder for my configuration. It installs. It boots to the install page. Installs. Then I can configure user info. Once I reboot and use the USB or hard drive (same EFI folder as USB) and gets a kernel panic. I don't know how to pull the boot.log from Clover, because even slo-mo 240FPS can't capture the crash. It crashes right before it shows the Apple logo. Here is the current folder attached.

  3. Same specs as above reply. Currently boots into MacOS. I have no ethernet, no bluetooth, and no wifi, since the DW1520 (BRCM4360) kext has been changed for high Sierra. I did the manual patching (hex editor) from here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8739-patching-airportbrcm4360-kext-for-unsupported-mac-models/which causes boot loop. Haven't tried anything else yet, since I need internet working first. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Another issue. Once it boots, I can mount EFI and play with it, but once I reboot it when I play with the EFI partition, I get a boot loop until I put the drive in a dock and mount the EFI on another computer. Once I do that, put it back in the laptop, my boot loop is gone. I don't understand whatsoever. I am unmounting it before rebooting after I play with the partition.

  4. EDIT: My BIOS version is A16. Do I still need to downgrade to A12 still for 10.13? I remember 10.10 and 10.11 needed A12.

E5430, i5, 8GB RAM, 1366x768 screen. I am using the dsdt and ssdt that Jake posted. I ran into the same issue with the hard drive formatted as NTFS not showing in Disk Utility. So I changed to the config posted for the USB fix. Now I get this screen:

EDIT2: Fixed. 1366 vPro Pre-Install clover folder. Needed AHCIPortInjector kext. Folder is attached.

  5. I really do miss projectosx. I go on WebArchive.org and I'm able to access a lot of the threads. A lot of stuff for my Z68 chipset desktop that has been lost is on there. Thanks for the help guys!

  6. Everything is working, except bluetooth. First thing I did was the patch with macKextLight, then rebooted. Bluetooth worked. Then, I replaced the config.plist with the one you created for me. I lost bluetooth. HDA_IDT works great. Everything is working except bluetooth. I attached my CLOVER folder. That folder contains your config.plist with the patches. I have also attached my working config.plist that bluetooth works with. Only difference is the patches.

    Ever since I ran:

    sudo pmset hibernatemode 0
    sudo rm -f /var/vm/sleepimage
    sudo pmset hibernatefile /dev/null

I have not been able to wake my laptop from sleep. Just a black screen with a spinning color wheel.

  7. Derp, never clicked "Attach this file." I knew someone was hiding that audio kext from me. The Broadcom(?) 380 is the bluetooth module.

EDIT: No audio. Removed the Yosemite AppleHDAIDT kext and installed El Cap HDAIDT. Two files in /S/L/E, AppleHDA and AppleHDAIDT. Do I remove AppleHDA? Also, backlight adjustment stopped working after installing HDAIDT and touching the /S/L/E folder.

Edit2: following the guide you made, replacing my other kexts with the ones in E6230 for 1366x768.

  8. Currently have my El Capitan install working with HD4000 1536MB, DW1520 Wi-Fi, and that's about it. Sleep works, two-finger scrolling works. I tried the Yosemite HDA 92HD93 (AppleHDAIDT.kext) and config.plist mod for the audio with no dice. Bluetooth is also not working, due to the USB changes inside El Capitan. I attached my CLOVER for anybody that wants to get their El Cap running. Any ideas for audio and bluetooth?

  9. Got rid of it, Clover is the latest, still the same issue :( put bios settings to what it says in the guide. SIP is disabled via config.plist, instead of 0x03 I had to modify the RTVariables to 0x67 to get it to boot, then a modified OsxApt fix (can't remember full name).

Now I have it freezing at different spots. Sometimes it'll go all the way down to loading the voodoops2trackpad kext, way past the CPUSensors.

EDIT: Got it to install! Used this config.plist. https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/blob/master/config_HD4000_1366x768.plist

  10. Sorry, old forum habit :) Been quoting since early 2000's. Hard to break the habit. I installed A12 and followed the guide perfectly. I'll probably recreate the USB. Is there a support thread for that guide? Couldn't find one. Was running into issues trying to boot the USB. UEFI works great.
