  1. OK, the D620 is back now So just wanted to say thanks that the commands worked great. Of course, now I'm having issues with the D630 install, but that's another story...
  2. Thanks for the info. While waiting (which I do badly), I tried to delete the Extra folder using terminal commands that I found, and seriously screwed up. Instead of deleting them from the USB stick, I think I messed up something on the main Extra file on my D620 (the D630 was a new machine). I'm now trying to restore the D620 from a Time Machine backup but failing miserably. When / if I do manage to get the D620 back into working order, I will try your instructions.
  3. Hi, I'm trying to set up the USB stick to boot from for a D630 Intel. I've created the stick using the restore utility, and installed the latest Chameleon. I've downloaded the latest Extra file, but when I try and copy the folder to the USB stick, it gives me an error "The Item 'Extra' can't be replaced because it's invisible" Can anyone help me out as to how I can get the Extra folder to the root of the USB stick ? BTW, I'm a newbie Mac person, so please be gentle Thanks.

Hi Kyle, I was in the boat as you with my D620. Mine came with the Intel wireless card. I just bought one of the Dell Broadcom ones off Ebay, plugged it in, and worked out of the box with the retail 10.6. Just search Ebay for "dell 1390 wireless card" and make sure that it's a mini PCIe card. I picked mine up for $8 including shipping. Note: when I upgraded to 10.6.5 the card stopped working. But, I applied the latest EDP package available on the osxlatitude website, and all was working again. Edit: I realised that the EDP package on the website is version 1.4, but the latest on the forum is later... 1.5rc4. I haven't tried 1.5rc4 yet, but I'm not having any issues with 1.4, so I tend to work under the adage, if it ain't broke.... webbos. c|
