  1. Kernel Panic all the way in!

Acer Aspire 5733 here, 10.9.5, deleted ApplePS2* kext, deleted VoodooPS2* kext, repaired permissions, rebuilt cache and ignored kernel cache.

    Tested Versions: 2.8.3/3.8.5 final.

    Booting with -v results:

Sometimes just freezes after detecting Elan hardware (v2) then "elantech: retrying ps2 command 0xe6" , and sometimes kernel panics after the same line.

Dunno what's happening, atm I'm running on Voodoo because at least, I'm able to run (even if it's pretty broken can't move windows, selection not working and so on) the touchpad to navigate in OSX.

Would like to know how I can support, and, if possible of course, how to solve :P

    Have a nice day everybody.

What kind of laptop..   brand and Model

  3. When tapping with two fingers on my touchpad (for resizing and dragging), I have noticed either (or both) of these two actions:

    • System Freezes and force-reboots -- I have found nothing in any error log.
    • Mouse pointer gets moved to bottom-right corner immediately.

I am using an Asus Q550LF with your combined Keyboard and Mouse driver. My touchpad is v4.

Sometimes (read rarely), the touchpad works exactly as expected.

    How do I fix this?

I have the exact same issue with ASUS K55A V4 TOUCHPAD.   Tried to fix it myself to no avail.......

    Im running 10.9.5

Also does it when left click and selecting text, along with dragging windows around the screen.

everything else seems to be working flawlessly.

  4. Hi Hoel!

Hi Hoel! I really haven't very advanced knowledge in this subject, and i don't know which states are activated or not. But when I put a smbios with 9.2, my computer is a little slower than when I put 5.1. With 9.2 I get 7500 points on Geekbench, and I get 10700 with 5.1, and notice the much faster computer. I don't know if I need to set anything more when I put 9,2 smbios. Could you check how many points you give Geekbench with your settings?

smbios8,3 is way faster than both
