My old D630 Intel Crestline x3100 died on me, but i have a new one for free. Is it possible to change the bios setting on the new D630 install the hard drive, and boot it up?

Have anyone figured out how to place widgets on a Dell D630 10.7.4 desktop. I found plenty of tut, but still unable to get the widgets on the desktop. HELP!
