Ok, try this one on for size. While trying all this i hadn't logged into iCloud. Once i logged into iCloud, iMessage started working. Not sure if i just missed a step at the beginning or what.

Thanks for the great guide! I am having the same issue as ako. I have tried every solution i can find on the forums in order to get iMessage working. Is there any other possible solutions? One last item. I currently have my laptop on a dock with two monitors, but it is only displaying on one. Has anybody attempted this?
