  1. Let us know how it goes. I haven’t messed with my E6410 for a while but it worked great on Mavericks when it was my primary laptop.

  2. So I tried everything in this post for the app store, and nothing. Then I tried pokenguen advice:

    https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6559-app-store/?hl=%2Bopen+%2Bdpcimanager+%2B1.5&do=findComment&comment=38625

    - Go to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and delete these files:

    • CaptiveNetworkSupport
    • com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    • com.apple.network.eapolclient.configuration.plist
    • NetworkInterfaces.plist
    - Go to System Preferences > Network, delete all connection. Then restart

    - Go to System Preferences > Network, add your connection again.</p>

    This fixed it for me.

Just an FYI using the fix for imessage also was part of the app store fix. I couldn't get it working with one without the other

  3. On another note, has anyone tried 10.9.3 update? I am going to as soon as I get home and can try it with my external HDD.

So I went for the upgrade yesterday. After it installed and rebooted, it forced safe-mode on me and everything seemed to be broken. But I booted up to myHack bootable installer and re-installed the extra folder and it rebooted flawlessly and so far it seems to be working like it did before the update.

  4. I already have it installed. Updating is simple if you are running a proper /Extra and have a properly modified DSDT or hardware supported out of box.

    Some notes about the update:

    -Kernel was updated to 13.2.0

-Some graphics kexts/bundles are updated for 4k support

All in all, it was a smooth update. I updated with the delta update and not through the Mac App Store.

What do you mean by the delta update?

  5. Yup, that kext should not be needed on this system.

Deano's post (which I've linked to in the Troubleshooting section of the guide) should fix the problem.

I followed what Deano said and I still cannot get it to work. I also deleted all of the Network Interfaces and ensured ethernet was first. Any other ideas to try?

  6. Hello all and sorry for the absence. I've been extremely busy these past few months.

In addition to what Hervé mentioned, please do try the steps located in the troubleshooting section of the guide, which can be found here:

If that still doesn't work, post back here and we'll figure it out :-).

What if I just leave the appleupstreamclient.kext enabled. That worked on my D830. The mouse was a little sluggish, but if I plugged in one through usb or tweaked the touchpad settings it worked great. Thoughts? is that all I am looking at is sluggish mouse.

  7. So I decided to leave the appleupstreamclient.kext enabled on my Latitude D830 and t now works. I believe it is because of the DRM content. and to fix the sluggish mouse I can either use a usb mouse, or tweak touchpad settings.

Just curious if the sluggish mouse was the only collateral from leaving that kext enabled?

  9. Download Chameleon Wizard. You will see the "Ethernet Built In" in the "Miscellaneous" section under the tab "org.chameleon.boot" tab.

Place a checkmark next to it like this:

I did this and it still doesn't work for me.

  10. This has been mentioned over and over on the forum: make sure your Ethernet/LAN port is 1st in the list of interface. Check that out through Terminal command ifconfig. If it's not the 1st interface in the list, remove all interfaces from your Network Preference panel, reboot then add the interfaces manually after reboot, starting with the Ethernet.

Do think of using the search facility on the forum.

I did think of using search, and that is what it told me to do. I did it, just as it said. I even went as far as to remove NetoworkInterface.plist to no avail. It is indeed first in the list. but I am still getting could not be verified error.

  11. I successfully installed Mavericks 10.9.2 onto my D830 (nvidia) with the help of OS X Latitude. Everything seems to work great except when I try to download items from the app store. When I attempt to sign it, it tells me it doesn't recognize the device and to contact apple for assistance.

Is there anyway around this? has anyone else gotten to sign in the app store?
