  1. No. I bought the card online. I know it works because it was working with 10.8.
  2. Yes, everything is set to on. Looking at the chip now, it is BCM4311KFBG.
  3. Just did a fresh install and the WIFI is not automatically found. Nothing is being shown for the wifi. When I look in the EDP tool, I don't see any drivers for it.
  4. I am doing a fresh install now. I took note of all the changes I made and Will see how this goes.
  5. Sorry I meant Jake Lo's post. When I loaded the OS, the wifi icon didnt show up. So I followed his steps and I see the wifi icon but it wont let me do anything with it.
  6. Yes I was able to boot.. Thanks for the help on that one. Herve- I tried following your guide on getting the wifi to work, I see the wifi icon on my task bar, but if i click it, the mouse shows busy. I have done the terminal server stuff as well. Any ideas. 7. I am sure its somewhere in the forum, but how do I unlock the file to edit? Also, do I just remove that line and save?
  8. I figured it out. I had to unhide all the files. In terminal: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder Found that the mach_kernel file was in there. Here is a copy of my Chameleon boot plist (in /Extra). Does this look correct? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>2</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>Default</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>arch</key> <string>i386</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist>
  9. Herve- I have the mach_kernel and dragged it to my desktop. I was able to get it off the installer as you noted. I cant drag it to the root of the drive cause it says " The item"mach_kernel" cant be replcaced because it's invisble. Have you see that before.
  10. So I just finished up the EDP tool. I havent rebooted yet, but i ran the ls -la in terminal and I dont see the mach_kernel file. Where get I get this file and place it in the root?
  11. After loading the OS back and re-running EDP. The error I get is a boot. It says Missing Mach_Kernel. I have no way to boot back in the system. Any ideas?
  12. I am in the middle of reloading the OS on there now. Once it is done, I will try it again and post a pic. In the meantime, I have another D830, that is running, but would like to get the wifi to work. I am just testing out the differences.
  13. Any ideas on getting the wifi card to work, its the broadcom card, not sure the model but its the recommend one.
  14. Yes, I did the EDP System Build. Opened Up EDP, selected my system and let it go to town.
  15. I need some help here. I have a D830 with a Broadcom wifi card and a Nvidia graphics card. I can get the OSX installed no problems. But when I try to load the EDP pack, after it reboots, it crashes, it wont boot back up. Any ideas?
