  1. The latter hex replacements seemed to do the trick! Thank you so much for the assistance and dealing with my SSDT ignorance .
  2. Hey, I've had this issue since I've started hackintoshing this laptop, heck even on Linux. There is a bug in the laptop's UEFI Firmware that is causing itself to eat CPU cycles for no reason, resulting in hot temps and horrible battery life on anything that isn't Windows. I was able to fix it in linux easily with a one liner command echo "disable" > /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/gpe6F My problem is somehow making a SSDT doing the exact thing. I found a post elsewhere with the exact same issue and was able to edit his DSDT to make the required changes, I just don't know how I would execute the same thing with a SSDT. The DSDT fix in question: My unpatched DSDT, it has a method _L6F which has many similarities to that of the post I found: DSDT.aml.zip
  3. Welp that was quick, was able to get audio working with CodecCommander.kext, hda-verb coped to /usr/local/bin, and layout-id 22 I'd say all of my problems are now solved! Thank you guys for the tremendous help, this is probably the most fully functional hackintosh I've had to date.
  4. Anything I can do to fix sound? VoodooHDA doesn't seem to work on modern Big Sur versions
  5. I've gotten everything else working now except AppleALC, I have a ALC299 and have tried both layout-ids (21,22). I see my Internal Speakers and Internal Microphone in System Preferences, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers when playing something, nor can I mute them. The internal mic works perfectly fine for some reason though. Any ideas? EDIT: I can barely hear sound coming from the headphone jack at max volume EFI.zip crioreg.zip
  6. Alright so I got the graphics acceleration working by copying the DeviceProperties from a XPS 15 9500 config, though the backlight took about 2 minutes after booting to start working. EDIT: Fixed by adding "enable-backlight-registers-fix" to DeviceProperties
  7. Sorry about the wait, install took a fair bitioreg.ioreg Seems like graphics acceleration is broken
  8. Your EFI got stuck in the [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] part again, but the moment I placed the Cpuid1Data and Cpuid1Mask values into the config.plist it booted into the installer! Time to enable the NVME drive and see if it installs.
  9. Any suggestions? I haven't really found any information to figure out why it hangs here.
  10. That got it to boot into the kernel! Though it seems to be getting stuck either on Thunderbolt (which is completely off in the BIOS), or the ACPI errors) I was able to eliminate the ACPI errors by using the correct .aml's from Dortania (was previously using ones created by SSDTTime) Though it's still stuck in the same spot of the boot process.
  11. Hey, I've been trying to boot the macOS Catalina installer for some time now but always been getting stuck on the following message at the end of the OpenCore boot process. 09:366 00:035 AAPL: [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] 2021-08-15T07:54:09 I've made sure to turn off any problematic settings in the BIOS according to the Dortania Laptop Comet Lake guide (including MSR and CFG-Lock) EFI.7z opencore-2021-08-15-075346.7z
  12. Surprisingly, switching to VoodooHDA 2.9.0d10 solved all of my issues, it even automatically switches the inputs when unplugging headphones. So for once, I think everyone should try VoodooHDA, no issues at all.
  13. I tried that out, I'm still getting the same results, I also tried the combo jack on the side of the laptop, that mic works fine, but I don't understand why the internal mic doesn't work.
  14. Okay I see, thanks. Anyways, what about the AppleALC.kext issue? Would it be easier to switch to VoodooHDA?
  15. I tried out one Dr Hurt's kexts, but it seems to do the same thing with the one I had originally. And the the "Touchpad Settings" throw this error, probably because I'm running High Sierra.
  16. It's okay, I don't need it. Anyway, I don't know how I haven't noticed this yet, but the internal microphone doesn't work. I did check my BIOS to see if it's enabled, and it sure is, I mostly think it's the AppleALC.kext included in the bootpack. Is there any way to fix it?
  17. Well I like to play some casual games, so its basically impossible without using the TrackPoint or a USB mouse, which are not that ideal for me.
  18. Is there a way where I can type and move the mouse at the same time?
  19. Thank you so much, it worked like a charm!
  20. Thank you, but another issue remains, in order for the trackpad to register my finger, I have to put a bunch of pressure on it.
  21. After some further testing, there is this small issue, with the trackpad I am not able to drag anything, only move the mouse and click.
