  1. Well went through everything again, EFI drive never mounts.. I have followed every step to a T.  Id hate to revert if I didnt have to the only thing thats not working is sound and the booting from internal disk. Other than that everything seems perfect... ( Wifi / QE / Bluetooth / etc )

Use Clover Configurator or EFI Mounter to mount the EFI partition. For sound, you need to install it to SLE.

hmmm weird. what happened to you happen to me. now i have no sound. tried to reinstall it and now i got nothing.

  2.

I cannot get the OS to load without the USB drive present, Still trying to iron this out.

Ill try this again, Did it once but it didnt appear to work but I may have done something wrong.

hmmm i might revert to mavericks with clover then hash everything out there. after that ill update with app store method and see how it works.

  3. Just followed this guide to a T.. Ran into a small hiccup but was able to overcome with the dual link video....

I still appear to have a few problems maybe someone can help with.

    - Cannot get the laptop to boot from itself without the USB drive.

Get dell bios message that its attempted to boot into EFI ( its on LEGACY in bios )

In the post install directions it states the EFI partition will mount and to copy files but the partition never appears so I run "diskutil list " verify there is an EFI partition then I run the following commands :

    [ mkdir /Volumes/efi ]

    [ sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s1 /Volumes/efi ]

Copy the EFI folder from the USB to the partition and finish the directions, Upon reboot it still only boots from USB and there is no sound or OSD.

    The remaining issues are :

    - NO Sound

    - NO OSD

Everything else appears to be working on my machine ( E6220 )

Any help would be greatly appreciated you guys rock!, I know its early but hopefully soon there will be a bootpack for EDP :)

in the zip there is a kexts and tools folder. open the tools and use kext wizard to install dummyHDA to S/L/E. dummyhda is in kext folder. then reboot and you'll have sound. use youtube to check if its working. i guess apple mustve taken out the ploop sound for volume control.
  4. Following this guide to make my USB for my E6420. Will report on how it works since I have the NVS 4200M on my model. Been having issues booting up my USB. Will update this post once I try to reboot again

Edit: So far the install seems to be going alright and it boots fine. I'll upload the required stuff for those who run the nvidia model of the e6420 once I get everything working or at least a majority of it. This booted with injected nvidia for running the NVS 4200M

  5. Did you look at the updates on the bottom of the guide? I believe adding HDAEnabler and the new AppleHDA should fix the audio. For iMessage, click on the iMessage link on my signature file below for instruction to fix it. As for Brightness, did you try Fn+F3(scrollLock) /Fn+Insert(Pause)? If that doesn't work, try Brightness Slider.app.

can you link me to the new applehda? i tried the one in your e6520 post but it yielded no results :( my hdaenabler is added.

also chameleon wizard is acting up saying i don't have an internet connection :(

  6. The guide will only work for the Intel HD3000 graphics.

Use this guide instead. Unless you want to use the Nvidia card, follow this guide.

So I booted into the os and its on 10.9 but I can't seem to get my Ethernet to work. I tried your bootpacks but still no luck. Wondering if I can update to 10.9.3 and then get sound volume and all that too work. Any steps I should take and also the new bootpack for 9.3? Still fiddling around with this since I have no internet access. Jake that extras on op didn't work

    I used the first guide.
