  1. I installed a different chameleon bootloader (newest) and repaired permissions. Seems to be working fine I was just being impatient and not letting it shutdown but now it boots from the hard drive with the new bootloader instead of boot looping like it did before so it seems to be working now. Thanks for everyones help! Add (solved) to title now, thanks!
  2. After fixing the disk permissions and installed a different boot loader, it seems to be working however sometimes it hangs on restart and I have to manually shut it down. Am I just not being patient enough or is there an actual issue?
  3. I installed a different bootloader, ran myfix for the usb on myhack, and now I am repairing disk permissions so maybe this will fix it so I can actually enjoy my hackintosh laptop instead of loathe it haha.
  4. Leopard and Snow Leopard never took this long to install nor had all the issues that is coming up with this haha. I got ML to install on my ASUS P5Q Desktop with the first try but my laptop is just frustrating me .
  5. When I boot from the myhack usb instead of directly from the hdd, I can boot so there is something with the bootloader.
  6. Still boot looping...ugh. I think there is something else going on because this is seriously my 20th install. I get to the setup, run edp, move dsdt, install bootloader, restart then constantly boot loops.
  7. I am assuming I put that file in the Extra folder after I configure edp?
  8. Here is what I did. I replaced the dsdt.aml file in the Extra folder on the myhack usb and installed. I installed ML etc, booted, and ran EDP. EDP replaces the default extra folder so I moved the dsdt.aml from the backup one and put it in the new one. After restart it just bootloops.
  9. I can get into safe boot using -x -F -v but other than that it will not boot into mac, just sits at a black screen.
  10. Yes I have. Sometimes it will boot without needing the usb but other times it will load with just a black screen and the harddrive is doing something but no video. Other times it boot loops and I have to reinstall. Here is how I am installing: Run myhack usb installer, use custom extra folder (d830 bootpack), say yes to removed problem kexts, reboot. Run EDP, reboot. I have to manually install a boot loader because it can't find one upon reboot so I have been using the newest chameleon pkg from here.
  11. Well it seems that there is something wrong with the boot loader because when it starts up, it just shows a black screen. When I use the myhack usb to boot using verbose, it works just fine. Also when I try to shut the machine down it hangs and will never actually properly shutdown. Any ideas?
