Yea i have the latest lion up and running with windows dual boot on my HDD, but my other problem still remains. i am yet to have a successful install on my SSD..i have tried different usb installers with lion and mountain lion..install goes through all the way but when it tries to reboot it gets a KP. i bought the SSD exclusively for OSX and i dont think i will be able to use it.

Yes I am. I followed the steps to make a USB boot able drive the first time and that driver's install kept freezing so I made another one and was able to use it to install on my hdd

i have a d630 with lion running on it (no wifi yet) with the original 120 gb HDD. I just got a new ssd and tried to do a fresh install of lion but after the its dont and i try to boot it KPs. i have tried about 3 times now and dont what to do. could be that the ssd is not compatible? its a kingston hyperx 120GB ssd.
