  1. i would think so too, but the bootpack is causing issues with the touchpad, mine may be different. i've ordered a motherboard for my hackintosh desktop build that is supposed to be 100% compatible and i think i am going to take a break from this project for now.
  2. Thinking I should start over completely, I'm having to many issues for having a bootpack available. Could part of the problem be using files from the 10.10 clover pack? I've tried using the Sierra pack posted in this thread and it seems to work better, but this is becoming very frustrating.
  3. I have gotten Sierra to install, it is visible in the boot menu and once it loads the screen is clear. The mouse issue doesn't seem to be present at the moment, but not long after login I get the pinwheel of doom after trying to copy the clover installer to the desktop to install. I am wondering if that could be the touchpad glitching out Sierra or kexts aren't loaded properly and I should use the original 10.10 config included in the bootpack, not sure how much it differs from the one posted in this thread. Edit: It is the touchpad causing the pinwheel, I think the kext is the issue as a external mouse worked wonders.
  4. Thanks, but how do I use it? The readme.md and forum release post do not say how to utilize the patch. Also, reinstalling Yosemite today to try and get it to show in the installer boot menu from the installed location on my m.2 ssd. Linux boots from the m.2 drive, so I'm not sure why os x isn't seen.
  5. how do you install lilu? i haven't been able to find any information on this... Or the actual download for it. Also I've gotten Yosemite to install on my m.2 ssd,but clover does not show it as a boot option, so I can't boot into the install. I had to change the date to 2 years ago to get around a error the installer threw just to install. this copy of the install os x yosemite cannot be verified
  6. I was hoping it would be fixed, I remember it while trying Yosemite on my desktop. I should also mention when I press my touchpad at the bottom I get several clicks, but when I use the top it seems only one, any ideas?
  7. First boot I got the symbol (/), booted verbose and send to have booted fine but the screen is garbled and it looks like there is text under the loading bar, but I still have hdd activity... I'm hoping it is finalizing the install since I haven't done a clean install of Sierra before even on my iMac. Seems it was making the recovery partition, trying a normal boot and looking good so far, booted into Sierra fine, garbled the screen at the end of booting and looks good after it loaded 😂
  8. I'm running Windows 10 and my drive is a hybrid, I did a full shutdown from command line after deleting the partition and disk utility does not see it, it does see the NTFS partition. I'm wondering if the drive being hybrid is the issue. Going to test my drive I originally planned on using to install from my usb3 dock, deleted the partitions in Windows and if it works I get science and a win. Science and win, the hybrid drive seems to be the issue as my external is working fine...
  9. it was suggested to correct the garble also it fails to format as exfat, fat32 and i can't format as fat with a linux live disk or windows (won't allow due to partition size). i'll have to keep trying different filesystems or try manually with command line
  10. ah i knew it had to be simple to fix, also the screen with the intel inject off still does the garble until the display sleeps after 10 minutes lol
  11. I partitioned 121gb on my hard drive for Sierra, but this is the error it give me when I try to format, I did format as NTFS when the side was made. I feel like I have experienced this before and the fix was simple. Mediakit reports not enough space.
  12. you're awesome jake, thank you a million times over!
  13. thanks again jake, i'll look more into running sierra later i think. do you think the current config will work with el capitan?
  14. With knowing the next files are in the bootpack, is it feasible that this laptop could run Sierra and I am wasting my time installing Yosemite? If so where could I find the updates to the kexts? That is if clover is at all Sierra compatible.
  15. One slight issue, the screen is garbled. After the screen blanked it became normal.
