  1. Resetting NVRam fixed it, though I had to reset it numerous times. Also updated to latest kexts. Thanks!

    Edit: spoke too soon. it only fixed it temporarily. issues comes back repeatedly. i have to turn off the laptop for about 10 minutes, then boot with power unplugged and reset NVRAM 3 times, then boot. upon booting, mouse will work but then becomes laggy again during use, particularly when CPU temperature heats up.

    Tried many combinations of older OC versions and older kext versions to no avail. Ran the EFI utilities and no issues detected. Linux continues to work perfectly.

  2. Out of nowhere my system has become unusuable due to extremely laggy mouse and keyboard. Whether onboard mouse/keyboard or USB, it's all the same. I didn't install any update or do anything else. It just one day went laggy.

    Running OpenCore on macOS 11.4. I've used the OC files shared here from other Latitude 3400 users. Everything worked great until recently. Any thoughts on what might be the cause?

  3. Hi,

    I've got OpenCore working great on Bug Sur 11.1 and all of the key functionality is working properly. One thing that has been bugging me is the battery drain during sleep. The battery drains faster than it does in Linux when in sleep and it makes me suspect that one or some of the devices are still powered up during sleep.

    Is this a known issue? Have I misconfigured something?

    'remove the "boot flat" ? What's that? Or you meant the boot arg brcmfx-driver?

    Yes, I removed that boot arg. I tried injecting 43a0/43ba and both worked. However, I am unable to detect channel 36. If i set brcmfx-country=#a, I can connect to 36, but my connection speed is decreased across all channels with that country configuration.

    I may just bear with the limited channels from the default US config to take advantage of the higher WiFi throughput speed.

    1) patched IO80211Catalina kext + compatible=pci14e4,4353 (or pci14e4,4331)

    I've tried this. When I use, pci14e4,4331 the WiFi icon goes into a loading loop and never connects or shows access points.

    Using pci14e4,4353 does give me basic WiFi connectivit, but the system detects it as Generic WiFi Device instead of as an Airport device.

    Strange that my laptop boots normally and WiFi works properly when I inject the device's default device-id, 43a3. I'm going to try removing the boot flat and injecting 43a0 or 43ba instead.

  6. Thanks @Jake Lo that worked!

    I actually got the same KP as above from it, but resolved it with the following configuration changes:

    RebuildAppleMemoryMap = false
    EnableWriteUnprotector = true

    Both were set to reverse in the EFI you shared. After changing those values, it's working great. I'm booted into Catalina on it now and the Big Sur installer booted without issue. Will try Big Sur installation later.
