Try to install with legacy USB or just go to /System/Library/Extensions and right click on IOUSBFAMILY.kext and select Show Package Contents then go to Contents -> Plugins and delete AppleUSBXHCI.kext

I need also to know which ethernet chip and audio chip you have, to add it nice to EDP. Now I putted those kexts just in the model folder instead of the generic folders.

I have updated to 10.8.2 successfully. you need to replace two kext with previous version of the same kext after installing 10.8.2 update.

I think they were( AppleSMBusPCI.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext)

also remove problematic kext by using myHack app

-Our wifi is not supported by apple yet, but you can replace it with this one and use this guide to make bluetooth and wifi works

-for usb 3.0 we might see new kexts in 10.8.3 after its released and make it works

Managed to get 10.8.2 working great without any boot flag by replacing IOPlatformPluginFamily + PCIPlatform with the one form 10.8.1

i installed 10.8.1 with unifail and it works perfectly but i copy dsdt in extra folder and when i close laptop sleep mode don't work (sorry i don't know how say "mise en veille" in english" 

what's AppleHDA.kext ??

And trackpad work without ApplePS2ElanTouch.kext

please make a backup of your working system to be able to restore back in under 2 mnts using this app

and make sure to install my power management kext and remove nullcpu to make sleep working

Now i have more problem 

-with MyHAck  10.8.1 finish with error and don't install Extra folder no trackpad no usb mouse

-with unifail 10.8.2 with the same errors but doesn't boot with -v

10.8.2 have problem with this kext that I still cant fix it check here

I also get error after installing 10.8.1 but it booted fine from usb bootloader , put the kext from here to your usb bootloader and remove ps2 from your laptop HDD/SSD

i can boot with -v but no trackpad no usb mouse and it's same with -x

use legacy usb and Elan v4 kext from the link in post #1

OOh i can flash my bios to 1.03 with usb drive with flash it and bios file :

 

-download biosfile to acer server

- format usb key to fat , copy flashit.exe and Q5LJ1.fd or .bin to usbkey 

rename Q5LJ1X64.fd 

-Turn Off the laptop, plug in Ac Charger plug in usb key 

-simulate remove battery with button under the laptop ,not release button 

-press fn+esc and release battery button 

-press power button and this will take 5min 

-when laptop reboot automatically bios have changed

Select integrated graphics from Bios and tell us your result.

Hello i've a m5 581TG it's french version because american version and french version are not the same ! ^^ I've install ML 10.8.2 but i can't downgrade my bios to 1.07 (i'm in 1.11 version)  it make error  fan  turn maximum and laptop can't power off i most reset battery .

So have you got a method to full power off gt640m ?

French version has different model number search for it and then lock at acer web site for older Bios verison with bigger size than yours. Eg:(if 1.11=3 MB then you should find older version with bigger size 1.07=7MB) you might need even lower or maybe higher Bios version depend on size. you might ask why newer version is smaller? because the removed the option switching graphics which killed the ability to use MAC

* My ARMOR 

-ML 10.8.0 (Retail Version)

-My Hack 3.1.2

-multifail for ML 5.2.0

-DSDT + SSDT + boot.plist + smbios.zip DSDT + SSDT + boot.plist + smbios.zip and  patched kexts.zip from attachment

-Use VMWare OSX ML

 

-Create UFD bootable OSX installer use my Hack 3.1.2

-instal multifail and check Legacy USB support -> select destination to UFD my hack (I get an error message after installing multifail with legacy USB support option selected  , I do not understand why)

-copy DSDT + SSDT + boot.plist + smbios.zip DSDT + SSDT + boot.plist + smbios to Extra Folder and patched kexts to S/L/E

 

In Bios Setting :

- SATA HDD -> AHCI

- Graphics -> Integrated

 

use -v bootflag 

 

* During the process of loading, after + - 2 minutes, then the screen went black, but the laptop is switched on (I try to open the DVD drive, and it works)

Well, I would have expected the same error with the kext I sent since it comes from 10.8.2. What I meant to ask was to compare kext & plugins from 10.8.1 and 10.8.2 (size + individual plugins versions).

 

What happens if, before booting 10.8.2, you replace that kext by the version from 10.8.1?

both are same size 1.1 MB but I also repalced the one in 10.8.2 with 10.8.1 and give me exaclty same error in post #1

Hi Dragon, i have problem with my Hackintosh in Acer M5-481-TG  . After finish install ML, my USB mouse and touchpad can't function. cursor was silent when I try to move the mouse or touchpad. I've copied the file kext ElanV4_1.8beta.zip to folder S / L / E but no change to the touchpad. What should I do? thanks before

please check if you have any other ps2 kext in E/E = extra/extinstion  or if you are using usb flash/HDD bootloader in E/E also

I tried updqating to 10.8.2 many ways but all of them give erros on booting

I can boot the system with -v -x .

try to boot with -v -x and give me what error you get and also run myhack and remove problematic kexts

me too 10.8.2 make problem for me. try using 10.8 only

its different but you can try without DSDT and it should works. if not try with -v and send error
