  1. Which kexts need to be patched after updating?
  2. Is it safe to update to 10.10.4 from 10.10.3 through App Store?
  3. Just an update on my USB 3.0 'problem' - I have reformatted my pendrive to FAT32 and OSX recognises it. My bad I thought OSX supported NTFS... EDIT: I've also discovered that I have no sound after OSX wakes up. How do you fix this?
  4. The bootpack is just a collection of kexts and tools, it can be copied anywhere to the install partition on your boot USB. You copy the patched config.plist to your OSX's EFI partition (you need to enable hidden partitions in the Disk Utility), which you can edit with TextEdit since it's only an XML file. After doing that, use HVT to install the Clover Configurator and use it to generate a new smbios for your hackintosh.
  5. Which model do you have? You can find the DSDT for E7240 here under E7240 bootpack.
  6. Well, if it works then it's best to leave it at that
  7. Follow this guide when it comes to installing kexts with HVT. For the trackpad, use this kext to make side scrolling work.
  8. The drive uses NTFS and other devices have no problem reading it. Yes, rebuilt permissions and the cache.
  9. I've removed AppleHPET.kext, but still my USB 3.0 ports don't want to mount USB 3.0 pendrives. The drive is visible in Disk Utility, but you just can't mount the main partition.
  10. I heard that may cause KP. How does one recover from them in case that happens?
  11. I've discovered that USB 3.0 doesn't seem to work, although using the patch. Any suggestions?
  12. You need to add Clover EFI as a boot option. Then change Timeout in config.plist to 0 and add DefaultVolume as the name of the partition OSX is installed on.
  13. OK, thank you again for that.
  14. OK, no more distortions when booting. Thank you very much for help! One more thing, can you assume that it is safe to update to say 10.10.4 in the future straight away? Or should you wait for others to judge whether the new update won't cause any kernel panics?
  15. My IOGraphicsFamily kext is vanilla. I just enter the perl command, repair permissions and cache, and reboot right?
