Is there a way to get the microphone working on my laptop? I have VoodooHDA installed because I won't have a working speaker without it, but my microphone doesn't work.

Graphics: Intel HD 3000 Graphics 384mb

I download the kext and use Kext Wizard to install it.
It's how I've installed kexts since my first hackintosh.
-
Didn't work and made my keyboard not work. I might just downgrade to EC or Mavericks.

Yes. When I was on Mavericks, I used the ALPS touchpad kext and it worked perfectly.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

This didnt work and it made my keyboard not work

Alright everything is working much better. Now to get two finger scrolling.

I did this and things are still kinda freezing up too much. On a second note, I installed it on another drive partition and it looks to be doing better and not freezing. So I'm just gonna migrate my applications and report back to if everything goes to shit or not.

Yes, I used RehabMan's brightness and HD 3000 DSDT patches but I don't think they did anything.

Alright I'm gonna try reinstalling it but only transferring Applications, and manually getting all my documents, so no weird stuff like old kexts get mixed in with the new operating system.
-
I closed out the terminal and now when i run the command I dont get anything.
But it said something about kext-dev-mode voodoo ps2, apple ps2 and stuff like that. so i think its just the standard kexts. -
Also if important, I have the Niresh Sierra distro installed.

Yes, I'm on 10.12.6 rn.
-
I dont think it does. I went through them and none of them looked like Mavericks-era kexts.
-
The bootloader isn't the problem since it's the latest version of Clover, but it could be updating kexts. Does the migration assistant transfer kexts to S/L/E?
-
was it a big version jump? maybe some kexts are outdated.
10.9.5 to 10.12.3 so yeah thats a big version jump.

From your last post in another thread, you mentioned not having patched DSDT, full graphics acceleration and other issue. Had you resolved those?
Post your new Clover folder for review
I have fixed those issues since then.
-
well first off maybe try rebuilding your caches and prelinked kernels also if the hdd was on a very different machine you probably need some kexts or if cpu is different then you might need to look to see if you have to generate a new SSDT if you where using one same for DSDT.
It's the same system, just it was on a different version of OS X.

What do I do to fix performance issues and the ALPS trackpad?

I didn't see any microphone patches in the plist but I did set HalfMicVolume to true.
